It is actually an extention to make it easier to adjust. Should be able to put it back on. I would add some locktight to the setscrew to keep it from getting loose again. I would also check the others. Also a good idea to retourqe everything on suspension everyonce in a while.

We have made up longer adjusters and treaded them into the trunk. That way the rear shocks could be adjust from in the trunk and you do not have to reach under the car to adjust them.

Did you do the install yourself? Not sure how it came all the way out like that. If installed properly, it should have remained in the upper shock mount hole, not fallen out and been hanging on the coil.

You're most likely going to have to remove the rear shock and partially disassemble it to get access to the adjuster knob on the shock.

I had them on the G8 and the Camaro. In the end, i decided to take them off the Camaro and just use the short version. The longer cable run lost some of the feel. I was never 100% certain I had 17 clicks of 18 or 16. The longer the cable run the less feel there was. It is so easy and positive to just reach up behind the rear wheel and feel the very positive clicks and know you are at 17... and since the bound adjustment was under there any way... short and to the point is the best solution.
