iPhone 4 connect through USB.

It works really good most of the time. Every once in a while it will disconnect the iPhone, so I have to unplug & replug it in.

Yesterday I was trying to show off my car to a few friends and the stereo would not play any music from my iPhone. I was able to scroll through all the artist, it listed the songs too. But once I set it to play a song, I only got 00:00. It was working fine earlier in the day and it works fine now.

Is there any reason it's actin flakey?

mine i have had to the dealer a few times and still no fix

i have iphone 4 and had 3gs and a touch
i keep the touch in the consol and sometimes the phone works and sometimes the touch works since i upgraded to the 4 i have noticed that it hardly ever works when pluged in so i still keep the touch in the car touch running 3.1.2,, 4 running 4.1,, the 3gs was running 3.1.2 same as touch but for some reason it would just not work sometimes. i updated it all the time and had my radio updated and still same problem

I have had similar problems, I have the iphone 4 and when plugged in to the usb every time it tells me something like "this accessory is not supported for this device" I have to dismiss it on my phone in order for it to play music. I also have to push play and be playing the music on my phone and then plug it in to the usb, because if it is paused it will read me the 00:00 on the console.

I just purchased my car a couple of weeks ago, but i'm assuming that there is not a way to bluetooth the music, similar to the bluetooth calls?

My iPhone 3G does the same thing via USB. I had to set up a second GM bluetooth device on my phone for music. The funny thing is, if I have a problem getting the iPhone to work via USB even after unplugging and plugging in, I play the music via bluetooth and after 3-5 minutes USB kicks in

why plug it in ? bluetooth works wireless for phone and music. you must pair it.

What they said..! I've had a 3Gs and currently using the 4. Haven't had any issues with either. Used both through the USB and bluetooth also. I can say at least for me anyway, having it plugged in does sound a little better than bluetooth. But that's just me. Again, both work fine. I usually use bluetooth. Make sure the software is up to date. Good luck...!

so hats off to you dalton22 now i can sell my itouch instead of keeping it in my car for a radio

If I install the PDIM, does that give me bluetooth control as well? Or is bluetooth something seperate from this?
