Try adjusting the steering wheel too. It telescopes in and out and goes up and down. That might allow you to lean the seat further back.

We really do have lots of helpful folks around here, meybe one of them will post soon.

Yes the seat is all the way down and as far back as I can reach the wheel.

Does the wheel extend? I only thought it went up and down.

lol, had there been a real solution that he hasn't already tried, I would have given him that answer.

Anything short of putting in a racing seat, I don't think there's anything he can do...

Was typed with a wry smile and now I will add a J/K just for you, Poormanscamaro. Racing seat is a good idea. It would drive me nuts if my hair rubbed against the headliner.

Try telescoping the steering wheel...if that dont do it for ya...then QUICK....trade it back in for one without a sunroof! lol (Sorry I know thats not a big help either).

But I really think I'd hate having to lean way back, extend my arms forward all the time without being able to rest them and drive, and see nothing but the roof in the top half of my vision.

Awesome I will give that a try. I emailed the dealer just to see if they will take it back... it remains to be seen.

I even slouch a bit but it is still a problem. Unless I really REALLY slouch my hair get's all static charged by the end so it sticks straight up and thats not a good thing for meetings all day in the office.

Any ideas? Is there any mods I can do to drop it a little lower?
Hi Jstyle,

How tall are you?

I am 6'3" and was concerned because I bought my Camaro without ever driving one or sitting in it first. I fit perfectly in mine after adjusting the seat. (Pushing it all the way back gives me my leg room, and dropping it almost to the bottom and reclining back gives me headroom to spare. Is it possible you haven't found all of the controls for your seat yet?

My advice is to use the telescoping ability of the steering wheel if you haven't already so you can reach the wheel better.

I know it's an extreme solution, but I think there was a member on this forum who traded his SS with a sunroof in for one without it. I don't think he found a workable solution to the height problem. The sunroof really becomes an issue for those who wear a helmet at the track.

when you all are talking about the telescoping wheel you are only talking about moving it up and down correct? It doesn't actually move out toward you does it?
