Yeah, if new gears or axles are on your list, it's an opportune time to do them. I'm going to stay stock while I can. Most on hear say the stock parts are good up to 550 rwhp, so that's my limit for now. We'll see how long that lasts for.

Enjoy your new mods, hope to see and hear them at the Spring Mod Day.

I think I should be right at 550 rwhp with this round of mods. I don't have plans right now to take it any further - at least not this year. I want to spend more time driving it this year than I did last year.

In about two hours I will be the proud owner of a 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix GT Coupe.

Nice. Should be plenty of superchargers out of GTP's and Monte Carlo SS's laying in yards that will bolt right on.

Currently having a dilemma, I'm having a really hard time letting go of this car...

If it's just the power window motor, it shouldn't take too long or too much effort to fix. I just don't know if I want to have to deal with that.

Welcome to the world of owning a used car.

My first car that I bought myself was a 1978 Camaro. I found out it needed new springs and brake rotors right after I bought it. I had them fixed and drove it for many years.

Stuff breaks. You fix it and move on.

Screw it. I can't do it. Call me superstitious, but if I haven't even handed my money over yet and things are already going bad, that's a bad omen.

I think I would agree. At least let me own it a couple weeks before something breaks. I would hate to give my hard earned money to someone for something broken. ...unless it was a ridiculous deal. Like the little old lady that only drove it to church on Sunday, once a month for 3 years and it really had 280 miles on it.

You're holding the money (that they want). Tell them the deal is for the car with two working windows, you'll buy it the day after they get it properly fixed. Otherwise, keep your money for something you're comfortable buying.

That's a fourteen year old car. Do you know the owner? You might want to pay a mechanic to put it up on a lift and do a quick inspection. He/she could tell you about how much more money the car is going to cost you in the near future. Unless the owner has all their records and you trust them.
