True in previous years, but supposedly the '10 GT500 is supposed to be a drastic change. I really like the bumper treatment on the Motor Trend Z/28 .

Its a "one of a kind" and was built here in the Detroit area by a guy known as "the aluminum doctor" or "Dr. Aluminum". Nice huh?

I'd have to agree with Big Al on this..

Rebuild the Z28 as the next Copo... build it for the track, put a chambered exhaust. the magnetic ride control and the ceramic brakes fro mthe ZR1 on it, add a functional scoop and ram-air.

Shed the Convenience and Connectivity Package. shed the 16 way power seats wtih memory. Shed the leather... Simple supportive bucket seats in cloth. As much as i hate to say it... Shed the Ambient Lighting as well.. Get the car down to 3500-3600 range with the suspension upgrade...

This is the car they should build.

The UW here in Seattle had a program where they were doing tests on them... the price tag at the time was 50k for one of your boys...

They ended the program in like 2002.

my point is that you commented on how the loanmakers have a say in how GM uses the money. and how you dont think that the same would apply to you. and I gave you a perfect example of how it would apply to you.

LS7 is going bye bye. I'd love to see a COPO car. but I dont see it happening anytime soon. a ZL1 would be a sight to behold.

do a search on Z28 on here. there's enough info to keep you reading for the next week on how the SS was the top dog during the 4th gen years because GM never planned on making an SS, they only planned on making the base model and a top dog Z28. then in 96, SLP started modding and rebadging Z28s as SS's and now everyone thinks thats how its always been. fortunately, it is not so. the new Z28 will be the overall competitor top dog.

they would probably call that a ZL1.

I'm pretty excited about this possibility... I think this route is the most efficient for GM as far as using the same engine as the CTS-V, a few cosmetic upgrades/changes (which ever you prefer). 550 or so hp is exactly what I've been crossing my fingers for, although I wont be needing 550 hp for anything.

Do you think its pointless to buy a 550 hp Camaro if your not going to race it (legally)?
If a non-collector buys this "Z28" is it smart to keep the miles low to preserve value or should you drive it normally?

I guess my real question is, if one were to buy this, do you buy it to keep it in a garage?
