Orange Krate is bugging me about his stripes! He is waiting for warmer weather to venture to a body shop. Just like me! What a coincidence.

Last night Orange Krate said he was also seriously thinking about the Sinister hood. He likes that look.

Lol! You will love the lights! They make such a huge difference! Especially the license plate lights. Side markers are next for me.

*whispers to Orange Krate* yes you do want the sinister hood. tell your dad to buy it, or you'll go rogue.

Post **BIG SKY RANCH and WHITE FACE**

The evening sky and warm weather was just too much NOT to take Orange Krate out for a little stretch of the legs. I had to run some errands and got home and decided to take a drive up a local canyon to a place everyone on these forums would recognize from a popular TV show called "Little House on the Prairie". Little House was filmed on property north of the city limits of Simi Valley on a huge piece of land called the Big Sky Ranch. In addition to movies, there have been many commercials filmed there over the years including CHEVROLET commercials! Great spots for Camaro still photos!

You can find out more on the Big Sky Ranch at these three links:

www.bigskymovieranch.com

http://ponderosascenery.homestead.com/bigsky.html

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big_Sky_Ranch

I have a long family history associated with the Big Sky Ranch. One of my Paternal Great Uncles (Hooper) was a ranch worker here. He and his family for three generations lived on the ranch.

As a EMT, and then paramedic, I worked many movie sets as a set medic and on ambulance standby. If you read the links you can see many of the movies that were shot there. The one I remember most was working the breakthrough movie for Tonya Roberts called "The Beastmaster". It also starred Mark Singer, John Amos and Rip Torn. Unfortunately () I had to stand by as a solo medic when they filmed her now famous nude scene where she is bathing in a stream. Don't worry Tonya...they saw more in the movie then I did at the filming!!! The movie was shot in 1982 and on several of the nights of the shoot it was colder than ever! It is a good movie for special effects of the day, costumes and more. Worth renting.

On my ride up the canyon I cut across in front of White Face mountain which is actually the front side of the Big Sky Ranch as it faces Simi Valley. White Face is highly visible to the north of Simi Valley as you travel along the Ronald Reagan Freeway (CA Hwy 118).

Happy trails Big Sky Ranch and here's to Michael Landon and Little House!

**LED MODS**

Yesterday my Oracle replacement LEDs showed up. I bought the license plate replacement LEDs and the Interior/Trunk light amber replacement LEDs. Orange Krate sure has a different personality inside at night. The white light from the license plate LEDs really brings out the colors of the plate. It is hard to tell in these photos. I could have taken much better photos had I not been so lazy to go get my tripod and set it up!

Here are some before and after photos of Orange Krate.

Thus far I am only doing simple stuff that is completely reversible back to stock. By the way... Brandi is coming along nicely! I am loving the suspension mods. SUPERB! When you get back home she should be rockin' and rollin'!!! Have a safe trip my friend.

Hey Walt thanks! Simi is starting to get warmer! We were in the 80's yesterday and today. It was nice driving home at night with the windows down and music rocking! As they say... EMS is never pretty. It is a young mans work and fortunately I don't hump gurneys anymore. I gave that up when I turned 40. Still a paramedic but not in the field, just keep my license active.

As for stripes... see what you think of these... this is what I am saving my nickels and dimes for:

I can't wait for Orange Krate to get the paint splashed on. I don't have a prelim date yet but do have a couple of painters in mind. As soon as I have some cash I will go knocking.

Amen Brother... My Certification is still active, but I haven't practiced in a number of years...at least five...

Thumbs up **FAMILY DAY TO AT&T STORE and MALL**

After spending a few bucks on the car it was time to treat the family to a trip to the mall. We spent the morning at the AT&T store and I decked out my two daughters, wife and myself with new iPhone 4's. Now we can all do the FaceTime thing or whatever they call it!

By the time I finished with that little venture I tore a hole in any mods ideas I might have had in mind for the next month or so. Those phones aren't cheap once you stack all the extras on them and buy some accessories. But this is the first time I have EVER bought a phone for me! I have two other phones for work. Now I have one dedicated to Orange Krate and Camaro5.com! BTW...they have a 5 megapixel HD Camera and Video built in.

The photos below were taken with the iPhone. I want to thank "MARCUS M." for helping us out. He is a Camaro lover and intends to buy one too. He is a member of Camaro5.com (blade_ss) and is hiding in the wings until he can score his ride! I have known his Dad, Bob, forever! Great folks.

After spending almost 3 hours in the AT&T store we went to lunch at Red Robin Restaurant and had some good chow. After eating there we went out to Orange Krate and found a nice suprise parked next to him. (See below) I have never seen that color on a Viper before but it appeared to be a few shades lighter than "Hugger Orange". It was a nice car indeed. But, I will still take my Camaro anyday.

All in all it was a great day with the family and we all came home and spent the afternoon and evening learning the iPhone apps and uploading music etc. I also scored the GM APP for my Camaro and it seems to work great. More to come.

You have a gorgeous family! What pretty ladies! I really want an iPhone but I'm holding out for the iPhone5. Thats the tech geek in me! How nice of you to spoil your family, and now you got a C5 phone, thats all I use my DroidX for and it gets ADDICTIVE. lol.

Red Robin for the WIN! Love their wraps! We have one here but mexican food usually wins out. I have a mexican food addiction. And indeed, Camaro over Viper anyday...

I am bringing Orange Krate, well really me, into the 21st century. This post is from my iPhone4. I am curious to see how it looks and works.

Amazing stuff these iPhones and Droids etc. I logged on and it looks like a PC entry.

Thanks for the kind words Jim. I'm now going to be watching your blog for any updates. It's true I have been stalking C5 since the release of the concept. I'm a camaro enthusiast from the beginning. I guess I will have to actually make some posts now. You all make me jealous looking at all the amazing cars.

Thanks Marcus! I can tell you that there are a whole bunch of great people at this website and they will give you all kinds of support when the time comes to buy your dream come true! I think the shirt you were wearing today was very cool. If you happened to buy an IOM Camaro you would always be in style going to work with that shirt on! Color coordinated and dressed for success! LOL BTW... I saw a used yellow LT at the Pontiac dealer today. My daughter was thinking it would be a good swap for her yellow bug but with gas the way it is right now...maybe not. Hang in there buddy! I will take you for a ride real soon. Orange Krate likes the mountains and beach!
