Sucks about the cars!!! I ride motorcycles(well, did). I was going around a right turn and my back tire lost traction and I started to fishtail. I ended up in the other lane and hit a truck head on. I was doing about 55 and the truck was doing 30. I have pictures(myspace.com/NoLifeLikeLowLife) if anybody wants to see. I was a profesional rider and always wore a helmet even if I was just going down the street. The people that dont wear helmets when riding are usually the rookies that just ride because it looks cool. Sorry, but I value life to much AND, if I spend $750 on a helmet im gonna show the damn thing off!

We had two DOA/DRT (dead on arrival/dead right there) Oh don't worry all the people involved were fine. But we lost two beauties.. A beautifully restored '69 Camaro. Costom blue paint job, beautiful white leather interior, original engine. And the other was a 1999 Z28. Black, black leather with tons of mods. Both were completely totaled, how the two owners were ok i still don't know. The only theories have is that GM builds a damn good vehicle and kept them safe. Now I've seen everything from people who've died due to crashes all the way to limbs lying in the middle of the street and plenty in between that i wont test the weak stomached with. But this... this got to me! I was so distraught on sceen that my partner had to hit me and tell me to wake up. Trust me i sent the other people with the other ambulances and i took the two Camaro owners to the hospital myself so we could cry together. The only good news, if any, to come out of this... They are both future 2010 camaro owners! Both have already ordered and, now aren't so patiently, waiting there new cars.

Sad sad night... A moment of silence for the fallen...

See, we have to learn from their mistakes. Make sure that when we drive, we drive responsibly. I know some of us on this board have a passion to bust out the V8 in their new cars and start speeding with their 304 hp monster V6, but we have to understand that to be careful. I only pray that I dont see any wrecked 5th gens out there. Recently on a Challenger forum, I saw a Black Chally SRT totaled, not so cool ...........

Well it's all a little unclear but what we've figured out, with the help of CHP, yes i wanted to know who was to blame also... The first car said he swerved to miss someone standing in the road, but witness say there was no one so we think he fell asleep. The z28 was behind him and slammed on his breaks but got ran into from behind by a pick up causing the Z to roll. The truck slid into the first car causing the first car to slid into the '69 who was waiting at cross stop light, taking out the whole left side

The '99 I am not surprised the driver is allright, but in 1969 cars had all the safety of the Normandy beach D-day landing.

I've lost 5 friends to Motor Cycle accidents......none were wearing a helmet.......

As to seatbelts -- anyone who has spent any time with me knows I'm a fanatic about safety belt usage.

Some will say ".......well......they're uncomfortable......."

To those I say " ...SITTING IN A WHEELCHAIR (OR WORSE) FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE IS EVEN more UNCOMFORTABLE!!!......."

NO EXCUSES, PEOPLE!!!!

I think anyone getting their license should have to take the part of high school physics where they discuss the physics of a car accident and how they apply to you!
