I question the intent of some members sometimes in our Community. While I, too, value the expression of ideas and opinions, there are sometimes people who abuse that to a degree. While our Country is free, this Community is not. This Community is not a democracy, and while I think I strive to make it as open, in my judgement as possible, I sometimes see others use their freedom to put down ideas, enthusiasm, etc. in our Community. Some feel the need to come in and correct misinformation, as it is put, sometimes, and oftentimes make little subtle digs and jabs; try to take away from achievements Team CAMARO has made and deminish the love that some have for this nameplate. I've read we're considered draconian in the CAMARO Community, but feel this is a tight ship, and the most friendly overall. It's fine to share opinions and thoughts and comment on what you like, but this is STILL a CAMARO Community and is run by CAMARO enthusiasts. Don't think for a minute I'll allow someone with the intent on deminishing the integrity of enthusiasm of this Community. It's all relative. If someone who doesn't share enthusiasm for CAMARO comes to this Community - fine; but I ask why be here unless your intent is to cause trouble or strife? I don't think someone has to share my fanatasism, but you don't go to France and get pissed-off that their culture, food, and language is not the same as yours. When in Rome...

I don't get anything from spending time here except communicate with a great bunch of like-minded enthusiasts, and when we can get along, I love sharing with those from other car communities.

If you are referring to simply the Mustang and Camaro race, maybe, but I dont see how the comment applies to each brand as a whole.

Plus why change a good formula when it works? Look what happened when Coke tried doing that.

I guess you could say GM is a little more methodical in their approach and less jumpy...

I agree, if someone has no interest in the Camaro why even be here. I feel like a lot, not all, of the guys on here who do not own a Camaro are just here because they like to start drama. I like the Mustang and owned one prior to the Camaro, but I am not on a Mustang site since I have no intention of purchasing one any time soon. Not on a Challenger forum either since I have NO interest in them. Plus if I need to know anything Mustang or Challenger related, I can just come here!

This thread went from good, reasonably calm discussion to drunken stupor in no time. Are you guys drinking green booze already?

Sometimes I feel like there's more talk than I want to see, however, on the plus side, I can find a lot of that stuff here. It also helps fuel my fire, too, when I read the strides those Blue Oval boys and MOPAR are doing; it pushes CAMARO to keep improving. We all benefit from that.

Hey I hope I'm not lumped in to the group being described above.

At one time I had a high interest in owning a Camaro. I've just learned it's not the car for me. I still like and appreciate them though. I made a lot of friends on the forum during my shopping and made more in person at CF1 in GA last year since you guys let me bring the Challenger down to play.

Had CF2 been closer I'd have been there with bells on if invited back.

I wish - 3 more hours to go

Its still a good thread. The pill has been performing science projects from what I can tell, and is trying to put some numbers behind the rumors.

To be honest, the inevitable pissing contest is a pretty weak stream compared to what I've seen in other threads.

No one has outright said the other car sucks. Yet.

And I think there have been some reasonable arguments made on both sides and each camp has something to be excited about, no doubt.

I'm happy Ford and GM both care enough about their customers to sell awesome cars. Anyone remember when Toyota used to sell, Supras, MR-2s, and AWD Celicas??? Man, talk about a car company turning their back on a market segment...

No, obviously you are/were interested in a Camaro. I am talking about the guys that come here to stir things up and talk crap. Plus, this is one of the best car forums I have seen so I can see why people stay lol.

IMVHO - I don't recall thinking that I really try not to lump anyone into a group. Well - except the import guys J/K
