Talking Daily interactions with American Muscle

What is this thread about? Why, your interactions with other muscle cars on the roads. What kudos did you have given or returned from other Camaro owners, or what gestures or comments came from drivers of rival brands? This should all be tasteful or good natured things that happened to you. In other words, friendly rivalry stuff.

I live in central Ohio, and see all types of cars on a daily basis. Here's the highlights from the past week:

From fellow Camaro/Chevy drivers:

-In stop and go traffic on highway 33, a synergy green Camaro LT came up beside me. I was in the right lane, and when he pulled up in the left, I dropped my hand out the window with a thumbs up. He pulled on by, but returned the thumbs up and waved as he went by.

-On a side route on my way home from work another day, I saw a Silver Ice Metallic Camaro with black stripes coming the other direction. I did my customary window lowering and dropped my hand out the window with the thumbs up as he approached. The driver didn't have enough time to return the same gesture, but threw up a "V" sign with his middle and index fingers to the front dash as he went by.

From Mustang drivers/passengers:

-At a gas station filling up, a pre-2005 Mustang V6 pulled out, and inched around past the front of my Camaro while I was filling out my maintenance and fuel log book. He leaned into his window and scowled at me as he inched past my car. I smiled and waved to him.

-At a back intersection stop sign in a shopping center parking lot, a Mustang went past me going the perpendicular direction. The passenger was a kid, and I got another window lean in and scowl. He held up a keychain or something with the Ford and Mustang logos on it. Again, I smiled and waved.

That stuff from the Mustang guys highly amused me, the friendly rivalry is still strong as ever!

So, what about you guys (and gals!), any interesting, cool, humorous, or otherwise entertaining interactions while out and about in your Camaros?

Nothing really so much on the road, but my car seems to be a magnet for Challengers and other Camaros in parking lots.

I had a Smart Car try to keep up with me the other day...the driver was a female and I just smiled at her.

Well actually yesterday I had two.

One was a fellow camaro Victory Red LTRS I waved and got the wave back.

The second was a 2011 Mustang 5.0 as we passed each other going oposite directions at 70 MPH she flashed her lights and I waved back.

Shortly after I got mine, I was driving down the freeway, and a Mustang II came up on my left, in the carpool lane. I glanced over, and both the driver and the passenger were doing the "we're not worthy" bow
I just smiled and waved.

I receive more of a mutual repect from challenger owners than mustang owners. Kinda like the enemy of my enemy is my friend sorta deal.

Wow... I'm a huge Ford guy and it kills me not to troll on here sometimes. I hold it back anyways! But the Mustang guys dissapoint me... I would of talked to you or waved nicely! I love to see people who buy a muscle car in general!

We own a Challenger and the other Chally drivers are VERY friendly around here -always waving or flashing their lights. Now as far as my Camaro, I don't see others around here (yet) so I can't say that I've ever had the opportunity to wave or vice versa. However, a 4th gen. acknowledged me at a stoplight right after I first got mine.

I used to be a Mustang owner, and used to wave at any interesting American Iron. Now I'm with you lot, in my Camaro, and nothing's changed. I just love cars period. Sad thing is there are only about 30 Camaros over here yet, so the waves have been non existant between us as of yet. Anyway here's a to you

I've had 3 mustangs and 2 camaros. I go with the "hate everyone " approach. Honestly a cool car is a cool car, I don't care who makes it.

By definition a muscle car will have a V8. You 6 banger guys...don't feel to bad if you don't get the wave back from the V8 guys. I used to give the nod to people in the 6 cyl cars but soon realized 99% are not really car folk. But if a 6 cyl person waves, I'll wave back.

For the most part ive had pretty good interactions with the Dodge and Ford crowd. I think we all need to realize that in a few years people will be driving electric cars, and the only cars representing the true spirt of America will be our muscle cars so we should get rid of the hate, But keep up the friendly compition.

Well in general

5th gen camaro: I wave to each of you guys who own one, usually get a wave back
Mustangs: There are some who just don't like Camaro's and they are jerks to me but if its a good looking Mustang or a new 5.0 I give a thumbs up
Challenger: So far all of them have tried to race me
Imports: Well lets just say its a mutual hatred
