Keith, can you figure out what time you would have to leave DFW to be in Ft Stockton at 2:00... I know thats not a direct route by any means, but that would put the whole clan from Eastern Canada to Florida together... you guys could eat with us, and we could hit the road... Smok'in... west... and I know you are not all that about driving the dirct route, coming to Austin to get to Houston from DFW... The parking lot at the BBQ place is big enough for all the cars, and there are gas stops at the same location...

Just an idea...

I looks to be only about 30 Minutes or so out of the way... If Blackhawk6 and his crew are up for it, we can meet at the Starbucks in Ft. Worth a little sooner and meet you guys there.

SuWheeeet... This will make coordinating the meet up a lot easier... I'm thinking when we get into Ft Stockton, the IH 10 gang, half of the cars or so stop and fuel up while the others go get in the grub line.. then we switch this out and the first to grub head to the fuel pumps about ten to 15 minutes before the rest... Then we meet up on the highway or access road... ... i'll try to figure out where the nearest rest stop is, or if there is a large roadside area we could meet back up and get lined up...

I'll update the BBQ place that there will be more folks coming in...he said he could handle a hundred or more... and if space gets that tight, I'll stand.. mill around and vist while stuffing my face...

i quoted a post from the Texans and Friends East, and it didn't follow me back over here... I think it was mlee that posted a pic and map of the location,,, the parking lot is huge, but it is in town a little bit, maybe a half to one mile off the interstate...

Here is the update from Rick, the owner of the BBQ place we are stopping at for lunch...

Stop in Ft Stockton Food Update...

I got this from Rick... after I updated him with the numbers attending... for those that haven't determined it yet, there will be approximately 100 people and 60 cars arriving in Ft Stockton... so far...

The number of people would be great, but appx. is close enough for us.

I will probably set up a seperate self serve, all you can eat buffet. Your guys can have the choice of going thru our regular line or the self serve. We also do Burgers and real fries.

How did you find out about us?

Thanks for choosing us and we look forward to taking care of ya'll.

Thanks again, Rick
