OK - if CamaroScotty said the first consenus was for March 16 - 31, then it's gold!

But now I'm confused by this post. If the allocation was only for 2 weeks, then how can there be 3 more weekly allocations (4 total)?? Or are you saying that the last 2 of these allocations will be based off a second consensus in early March?

That's great news since my son is due back from Iraq in early April. What a great Home Coming gift.

I also heard from my dealer Wednesday and he said my order would be "pulled" on 3/5. They got an allocation of 6 total and have sold all of them. 3 auto, 3 manual and all were SS's. They got 1 on the Feb concensus. I ordered on 10/13 and am number 1 on their priority list. Needless to say, my hopes are high that his info is accurate.

They can put a V6 at each dealer vs a V8 for millions of dollars less. Example: $4000 less per car x 5000 dealers= $20 million

And they're not blowing off 84% of their sold orders; V8's are being produced right along with the "showroom" V6's.
I really don't think you read my post right. I meant was that 84% of the cars preordered were SS's and that is why they are being pulled first.

It could be that one line is set up for V8' and the other for V6.

I did misinterpret what you were actually getting at but the same response would follow. Even if they weren't building the dealers' 1-each V6's first, they have said that they plan on close to a 50/50 run. So people who ordered V6's would actually get their cars before many V8's in that scenario.

You are right, one line does V8's (first sold order) and another line does V6's (dealers floor model).

no call back from my dealer for two hours soo i called my salesman --he told me on things such as status level---the number of cars they got on the febuary 6th consenses and the report received today was all done by the ordering manager therefore he doesnt know what happened on febuary 6th-----he also didnt know what a status level was --cuz i asked him if mine has chaned from 1100---------he couldnt tell me

he assured me not to worry that any change in my order as to being picked for production i will know of immediately and yes. because of the constraints on v-6s i would probably move up to number 1 --im number two right now with an ss--the number one is a v-6

HERES ANOTHER LITTLE TID BIT HE THRU OUT----HE SAID THAT NOW ALLLLL V-6S AN SS CANNOW GET THE RS PACKAGE

Now that's news to me. AFAIK the LS V6 can NOT add the RS package.

Mac and PonyMan,
I seem to remember seeing threads where CamaroConti and Greg were saying that each dealer was going to get 1 V6 "Stock" car AND 1 V6 from allocation starting off....for what it's worth.

...But then again, I stay confused when it comes to this subject so I'm just gonna wait and see what happens.

Well, based on the constraint list I would have to say that information was obviously incorrect...

Am I the only one that noticed this. Can not defer if your order has something on contraint, is that a GM rule or is this the dealer making this call? You either change your order or lose your allocation? I have a problem with believing this. I have CGM on order and if my order was in turn to be pulled for production but CGM is on constraint, I can change my order or lose allocation? This doesn't sound anything like what GM would say. Where does this information come from? If I lose my order because of a delay I will be pissed. I ordered the way I want it and if that causes delay I understand that, but to punish me and take my order away from me because I won't change my mind, that is absurd and it doesn't sound kosh! Explain!
