Any glitches in your vert?

Since more and more of us are receiving our cars, it's time to start tracking thie things that seem odd to us so we can let the new owners know what to look for.

In my case I've only noticed a few things:

1. The car likes to hesitate when shifting during casual acceleration from say 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd.

2. Neither of the car doors like to close without a bit of a slam. This could be a pressure thing, but with a 'vert, I'd tend to doubt it.

3. Never could get the garage door opener to program. Going to run this by the dealer.

4. Tonneau cover 'bolts' not installed during delivery service, this is pretty common.

That's it so far, pretty tame list of issues if you ask me.

My top won't go up if it's above 40 degrees and sunny. Oh no - that's just me.

I notice your item 2...espicially the drivers door, seems to need slightly more umph to close...but if it's not leaking water, I won't complain.

I noticed sitting at idle (500rpm), I would feel the car lope...at first I thought it was about to stall, but it never has and maybe it is a slight cam lope...that I can live with. I love the way my 68 sits there and rocks and rolls at idle because of the cam in it.

2. This doesn't surprise me at all, my previous 2 verts were the same way, it could mean the car is fairly well sealed. Try it with a window down and you'll see what I mean.

3. I programmed mine yesterday, we finally figured it out: Bring an original remote into the car with you, hold it right next to the buttons, hold down the button on the remoter that corresponds to the door you are trying to program, then hold down the button in the car you are trying to program. It takes a few seconds but the blinking goes to solid. Then have someone press the button on the garage door opener unit to broadcast the code (this is the 30 second part so it's a pain to do alone. Then press the button in the car you are trying to program and hold it down a few seconds. When the flashing changes it is ready to go. Then try the button - worked for me once I understood.

4. Mine were also missed by the prep guy, but I tried to install the tonneau at the dealer and we figured it out and they fixed it.

They go behind the rearseat headrest a few inches down from rear deck level. I didn't get to see them do it but it looks like you have to lay in the trunk to do it. Lay your tonneau cover out and you'll get a good sense of where the bolts go. The holes had a plastic plug in them that had to be removed first.

My passenger air bag light doesn't always recognize when there's a person sitting in it.

Not quite sure if this is what you meant already, but my drivers window doesn't index unless slammed. With gentle / normal closing it stays down.

Had it going on 5 weeks now...

Hey, good point on item 2...my key doesn't open my trunk either...at least with how hard I turn it, I am afraid of twisting much harder.
Would like to hear if other verts have any issue with this lock...do you have to turn the key real hard or...?

Just hit 600 miles on the odo. No issues at all so far, but one minor annoyance; cup holders placed behind the shifter. I always drive with a drink (non alcoholic, of course), and it's a pain to work around the coffee mugs and water bottles, especially when I'm trying to run through the gears fast. Wish they were off-set to the passenger side.

Otherwise lovin' the ride!

I wonder if the key lock in the seat is only meant to work if that shade is in the wrong position? Between the Fob and the trunk button that's two ways in - I wonder if it is only meant to be a failsafe?

Yep, the key lock is a fail safe method...maybe it will only work with a dead battery???
Have I mentioned I really like that drivers door trunk button!!

Maybe it will lock with the key so the button on the door does not open the truck. Try that.
