Glad to hear you are happy with the product!! Have you ever taken a video to show the sound of that set-up? I would love to hear what the car sounds like with our CAI and that exhaust.

Bill,

I was with my car club yesterday and a guy there had a print off from the internet saying how GM installed two different types of mass air flow sensors on the 10 and 11 camaros. 1 has a just a letter on it and the other has a letter and a number. From what he was saying is that the one with just a letter is causing some pretty sluggish performance...have you heard anything about this? I installed my Borla exhaust and CAI on the same night and my gas milage dropped my 7-10mpg and I just chalked that up to having a heavy foot since my exhaust sounds so good. Any input would be great including where to get a new one if thats the case.

This is in fact the case. There are "weak" MAF sensors and "strong" MAF sensors. That dramatic of a fuel mileage decrease is not attributable to the MAF but you do need to remove and check your stock unit and ensure it has the proper code to optimize performance. If you have a "weak" one, we carry the "strong" MAF sensors on our website.

Bill,

Got my CAI installed this weekend and it took less than 40 mins to install. What should I expect on MPG compared to the stock air box?

Theoretically, you should see a slight improvement in fuel mileage but most of the time people see a decrease because they enjoy the sound so much they can't stay off the throttle.

I have heard a little bit about this issue but honestly have not had any experience or heard enough facts to steer you either direction. I can tell you for certain that we have had 0 customers have a problem due to a bad MAF, try going easier on the petal buddy!

On avg I would expect to see about 2-3 mpg improvement with conservative driving, of course you have to stop mashing the gas pedal every chance you get to see this improvement so good luck, HAHA.

Hey guys I also noticed that mpg have decreased since i installed my CAI. My mass air flow sensor if im right has like 3 letters (dont remember any #'s) is this one of the bad sensors u guys are talking about??? the car feels strong, it does sound deeper and the rpm's tach up faster but my mpg's did drop about 3-4 mpg (with normal driving). Does the mass air flow (bad) have only 1 letter or is it all letters?? What do u guys think??

The "weak" sensors are one letter and one letter only, for instance "P". The "stong" sensors are a letter and then numbers, like "K21". We just received a few more of the "strong" sensors this morning.

I was testing the mpg on my car, I see about 26.9 mpg on the high way and 17-20 on city, and I have a s/c, it really depends on your tune and driving habits,

Ok, that's a little scary.. I purchased one of your systems (in black) from a vendor and specificed "Magnuson S/C Compatible? YES" on their ordering site. It's actually in the shop this week being installed..

Can you confirm whether it will or won't fit an LS3 with a TVS2300?

You both got that right it has such an awesome sound at WOT. I want to pay my complements on the quality of the product.
