Hi Becky,
Have I lost ground on my order # PKPP27 ? Today's e-mail for Gm Connects shows
3100 and 3300 again. Also I've notice not many orders have digits in the order number, is there any reason for this? Thanks for all your help and it's good to have someone who knows what we are going through!

12/23/10 - (1000) Order On Hold at Dealership
01/18/2011 - (1100) Order placed at dealership. Order passed GM edit tables but dealer has not received allocation to place order.
01/18/2011 - (1102) Order entered via web.
02/25/2011 - (2000) Order accepted by GM. Dealer used allocation to place order into production.
03/01/2011 - (2500) Order preferenced. Order pulled to the production system.
03/01/2011 - (3000) Order accepted by production control. Parts being ordered and production process is underway.
03/19/2011 - (3100) Order available to sequence.
03/19/2011 - (3300) Order scheduled for production. Order is scheduled into the plant build cycle.
03/22/2011 - (3300) Order scheduled for production. Order is scheduled into the plant build cycle.
03/22/2011 - (3100) Order available to sequence.

At the end of every correspondence is, "Hang in there". It's a little frustrating when I showed up to the dealer and handed the salesperson a printout of exactly what I wanted and all they really had to do was input it in the computer. Is asking for status or location really putting someone out? All the work and time consuming research/decisions were done before I showed up.

Becky, I understand people are busy but if I'm not mistaken a commission is being made off of the work I did. You have the best perspective about this on the forum. Maybe you could shed some light for the rest of us that are frustrated about the process.

I was probably too harsh when I said "lazy" and should have used your term "uneducated". You are 100% correct with that term. Some people have made this a career and will take the time to understand how things work. There's no clear cut way to determine who's a good salesperson. You are actually a salespersons dream to have everything in order and ready to go. Perhaps a call to the sales manager with your frustrations may get you the info you are looking for.
