Hey, you guys, lets just give up and talk about trifecta!

Another idea, whenever someone mentions another possibility for another tune, lets just talk about trifecta some more! woohoo!

so because one company gives up, means that it's not possible at all? would love to see some proof. dyno results would be nice. HP tuner hasn't even tried yet because of other demands.

is it really that bad to at least try to get another company to test out a tune? is it that hard to leave trifecta out of a thread not meant for them?

EDIT: also, is there a link to where diablo has stated that they have found no gains?

Coming from someone who sold their camaro, and mini van to buy a truck, and a guy who's running high 13s..... its like a grain of salt thing.

And from what I understand, it has less to do with finding gains , and a lot to do with the Bosch platform used. They are scrapping it in the 2012, so companies don't want to invest in it.

I know. I know Trifecta is a great product but I really think options will be good for our entire product market. And I want my shop to be able to tune my car with me standing there, or to be able to tweak it when we go to events. Call me strange but thats what I want.

i hear ya! most places wont touch my car because there's no true tune. One where they can tune the car themself. granted i'm more than willing to tune my own through trifecta if that's the only option, but i'm also planning on going nitrous, and i'd rather not carry a laptop to the track.

Not a Debbie Downer... I'm a realist... I worked a lot with Vince trying number of things, we explored a lot of things.. a lot behind the scenes that know one knows about... I've seen the raw data... I've talked a quite a few insiders... There is no magic spell holding a bunch of horse power captive, just waiting to be released... There is not going to be any pixie dust to cause a big boots in torque...

Haven't owned a mini-van in years... Wife actually drives an Acadia now, which actually has an LLT...

Actually, as far as Diablo, it had everything to do with not finding any gains! They even said so... and that was way before anyone could have guess GM would drop the Bosch...

So everyone is looking to get a cheaper option in this thread right? I wanted to point out the fact that there will be no gains in the ECM. Which we all know about.

So if you are trying to create competitive pricing.......go for it. I won't critique that, but I really hope that you guys aren't expecting a breakthrough on the 3.6l engine thats all.

And the reason I hope that is because I respect almost everyone who has posted in this thread, and their efforts in modifying their cars.

BTW.....Diablo, SLP, HP Tuners etc never claimed before that there wasn't enough demand. Their claim was that they DIDN'T THINK v6 owners cared to mod when the Camaro was released, so they geared all their mods to the SS model. Then they also claimed that they didn't bother creating a tune for the v6, because they didn't see the point of advertising 0HP gain tune.

All I am saying is buyer beware if you are expecting something more in return. If you are expecting a cheaper solution than go for it, they are most likely going to hook you up with a TCM & A/F ratio tune for maybe $100 - $200 difference. Which I agree is a big deal in value and performance.

Again I am just posting in this thread out of respect and just looking out for you guys & girls. Not trying to be a debbie downer and look I didn't even use the T-word in this post
