I little spin of the tires at the track is good to clean them off before the run.

I guess my car isn't a "real car"

Only need big burn out with drag radials not street tires. Turn all traction control off. Always start tire spin on wet pavement just past the water box. Light braking won't over power anything over 5,000 rpm. Second gear works best, pop the clutch and hit brake, then release the brake enough to slowly move forward to keep from getting sideways. This also takes pressure off the rear brake. Countersteer, ie. steer in the direction the rear moves, left steer left, right steer right, while slowly moving forward. Hold rpm and release the brake to drive it out after a 3 or 4 seconds, or immediately if rear gets to far out of line. It will snap you over hard if you let off on gas, better to drive it out unless so far out of line you might it something.

Here is a video of an 11.94 run with good shot of burnout

get in the water box, give the throttle a quick blip to flare it up to around 3-4k and drop the clutch to get the wheels going. take the left foot and put on the brakes to keep it from rolling out, stay on the gas and slowly release the brake to roll out of the box until you see smoke.

Its a little jerky but for guys with small feet who don't want line lock it works just fine for me.

if you're on the stock tires drive around the burnout box, rev it up a bit and pop the clutch just to turn the tires over a bit and knock the rocks of of them and thats it. stock tires need no burnout.

Just received Mickey Thompson ET Drag Radial 305/45/18 for the car. Hopefully going to the track next Thursday night for test and tune.

Go thru the waterbox?

How long a burnout on the tires mentioned above?

Launch at what RPM with everything off?
