I was working with one dealer a few months before the hardtops came avaliable to order asking about the Verts, that salesman had my order info for 2 yrs, finally the first week of Nov this yr he tells me he can't order till Dec, and there's a $5000 market adjustment. I haven't spoke to him since. Likewise, my "plan B" tells me 2 days before I was able to submit my order, a minimum of $2500 market adjustment, total to be determined after the car comes in, wth!?!?! I had to go 100 miles away to find a reputible dealer that actually is giving me a below MSRP price. Sad part is, even without my order, someone else will come in and pay those rediculous amounts from those jerks!

Oh yeah.... in a big city and only 6 slots for this one dealer, you know they will find some sucker to shell out the extra 15 grr for that.

Yeah well try to get one in Canada. I live 2 miles from the Oshawa plant, and the Canadian dollar is worth about $1.02 USD, and I still get to pay $8000 more than you do before the dealer tries to stiff me. MSRP for a 2SS with RS is here in Canada is about $52,000.

What need is to find US dealer that will sell me the car. I am ready to buy, but I ain't paying the Canadian premium. I'd rather pay a broker to move the car over the border. Makes me feel a whole lot better that they took my tax dollars here in Canada too, only to stiff us on the price.

Any US dealers out there willing to deal with Canadians?

Nah, its not illegal. From my understanding its banned by GM. Other manufacturer dealerships sell to Canadians all the time.

I am probably going to end up waiting a year and then buying from the US in the secondary market. I just can't justify paying $8000 more for a car made a mile or two away from my home.

Should I be concerned that the order code online has C3O Black Stripe Package when I ordered black hockey stripes?

Anyone trading in their coupe for a Vert ?

Just got a call from my dealer and he has allocation for a vert. I was looking at trading my 2LT RS in on the vert. The dealer wants to see the car so he can give me a trade value. IT just turned 3300 miles. So my question is what do you think should I sell it out right or wait until the vert arrives and use it as a trade. Thanks for your input Steve

Becky,

Too funny! Yes, our 2SS convertible will cost about $2k less than my first house. I must be getting up there! But if getting older means I'll be driving a 2SS convertible, then bring it on! :-)

Seriously, thanks for all the helpful info you contribute here. You have helped me, and I'm sure a lot of other people, make more informed decisions.

Nope. Just placed an order yesterday for an IOM/IO 2SS 'vert at $1200 under list. I'm a repeat customer of the dealer group however. If you're willing to wait and shop around, you'll find a dealer who will work with you on a reasonable price.

Just wondering what the "dealer invoice" price on a Vert 2LT with RS package?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
