First post here. Been lurking for quite some time as i hope to own a new camaro at some point in time.... maybe after college graduation in 6 mos.

Anyway, glad to hear that all of you who are with USAA like the company! I work at USAA and i am THAT GUY that you talk to when quoting a new vehicle of adding one. If youre eligible for USAA its hard to beat the rates.... I am a 23 yr old male in college with 1 ticket on record and currently pay 110 per month on my 2007 Toyota tacoma dub cab 4x4..... anywhere else i quoted(i.e. geico) was roughly 100 more per month...

just thought id contribute to a thread that i actually know something about as my first post.

TrdGuyKc,

Hey, let us know when USAA actually has the 2010 Camaro in their system. Right now, they are quoting based on sticker price and automobile classification. I am comparing USAA with 2 other insurance companies. State Farm is the only one who has it in their system and their rates dropped $96 per 6 mo. after they got the car specs. in their system.

That sounds like a pretty good deal for New York.

I talked to State farm after reading this quote.

Initially I had them run the check back in December using the Challenger SRT. I was told it would run me 83 dollars a month for FC. They did not have the Camaro in the system.

Just the other day they changed the quote to a 2SS Camaro, which is in their system now.

It will only run 43 dollars a month for FC, which is 258. dolars every 6 months. This is awesome. I will make that payment twice a year.

You say FC but what liability levels and what deductables.

I was quoted $367.64 6 Mon. or $61.29 Per Month
That is with 0 Comp Deduct and 500 Collision Deduct and Liability of 250/500
Multi car discount Good driving discount House is with them and my Motorcycle is with them.
Still a lot better than I was expecting.
PS. also Old fart discount 58

This was with a $50 deduct for comprehensive and $500 deductible for collission. Liability is 100PP, and 300 per accident. This is the standard policy on my other two vehicles.

Multi car discount, house on policy, LI on policy, and Wife on policy. Good driving discount and 6 yr no accident on one vehicle and going on 10 yr not accident on other vehicle.

It seems like the old fart discount is starting to be an old fart penalty...

This quote is just for the Camaro, not the other vehicle. I believe that most around 35 to 45 will be close to this unless they are in bad areas or the have points on license.

I live in Fredericksburg VA, which is not known for bad crime or fast paced living. Go twenty miles north and the cost start increasing.
