There is also a max write off of 49,950 and you must make under 125,000 if single and under 250,000 combined if filing married.

Max write off on a vehicle for sales tax not you. So if you buy Z06 for 70k dollars you will not be able to write off the sales tax on 70k they will cap you at 49,950.

Well, that sucks because in Oregon we don't pay sales tax. They nail us on our property and income tax!

I'd rather NOT have to pay it then to get a deduction on my year end taxes. We get slammed with all three.......... Sales, Property and Income taxes! :(

The Camaro looks like it's going to beat you unconscious, put you in a silly hat, invite a couple of other Camaros over to take photos of you, then e-mail them to all your friends and co-workers. Call me crazy, but I like that in a car."

This is a bunch of BS anyway....all this stimulus package is doing is writing a check that our kids will have to repay later.

The bright side of that is you dont pay sales tax....
You will be saving around $2-3,000 in taxes when you buy the car.

'We' will be paying the tax, then not get taxed on the money that we paid in sales tax... so we will save a few hundred bucks at the end of the year.
