What issues could this cause?
You could run rich or lean, but most likely you'll be fine especially if your car is already tuned for a CAI.

I was running an LMR intake on my car (tuned). When I got my "tune only" Vararam I drove my car for a couple weeks until I could get my car tuned again. When I finally did get my car re-tuned everything (A/F ratio) was still good.

Vararam is great company to deal with. I have the new version Vararam on the way. Thanks Steve.

Hey Tiny
Why dont you mount the intake right on place. Its not a big thing. Just have the right tools with you

I have narrowed it to CAI or VR. Any issues with hydrolock on the vararam being that it is pulling from a lower point at the front fascia?

Well, the Vararam is not for me - I'm all set on the intake side

I'm asking on behalf of Blacky - and because the Tune version should be "broken-in" for around 100mls before taking it on a dyno for the final setup.

I was just wondering if it can do any harm to the engine if the break-in period is being extended to ~300-400mls on the Autobahn

The non tune Vararam is the one that's supposed to be broken in for 100 miles. The "tune only" version gets tuned and doesn't need to be "broken in."

When running the non-tune version is takes a few miles before everything adjusts to the new intake.

But if you get your car tuned, you don't have to worry about that.

Actually, it's not lower than the stock location, just more open. If you get hydrolocked with this intake, you're doing it wrong.
