I agree, metallic on the Camaro, gloss green on the Chally, that gloss lime green says Mopar all the way. I see the Camaro retro green more like Rallye Green which had quite a bit of metal flake. This is my 68, can't see the metal flake in this light, but it is Rallye Green!

I'm glad someone actually created a separate thread on this. I mentioned it in another post yesterday after speaking with some guys from the Camaro assembly line at the auto show in Toronto.

They claim to have recently painted one green and also stated it is the best looking colour on the car. While that is a subjective opinion, it is a positive endorsement for the colour. They also said it was metallic and unique to Camaro. I like the colour shown above, but based on my conversation with them I think that green above is a bit too electric.

FWIW, they also said the IOM is the hardest colour to accurately paint given the steps required to ensure an even metallic effect. Also stated that they don't clearcoat the underside of the hood or trunk, which was a bit of a surprise.

I too have long been asking for an updated version of the Rallye Green, even my avatar pic has been a green Z/28 version for a long time.

I've had to put off buying a new Camaro until business improves but I suddenly feel about a hundred times better about it. Now give me a white houndstooth interior ( a pipe dream I know) along with white stripes and I'll be thrilled to wait.

Hey just found thid video of a green camaro SS with Black stripes. I think this may be the green option to be offered but who knows, enjoy

Upon looking again this may be an old video notice the gas lid is on top of the rear not the side.
