I'll obviously reserve judgment until we see the overlay, but even 20/20 would be impressive!!!

I can tell you that the dyno runs today were not done at Vararam's shop. They were done at England Green, a Houston performance shop. England Green has nothing to gain by helping Vararam inflate the numbers and Vararam has nothing to gain by doing so either. If you've been to Vararam's website, you'll see that they have a performance guarantee for each intake they sell. If you don't see the hp/tq, ET, etc... that they guarantee for a particular intake, then they'll take it back. There's nothing funny going on with the results, they are what they are - I was there all day.
We have mostly let "rolnslo" - Shannon post here as we are all for an independent and mostly unbiased opinion! England Green is a well respected and established shop here in Houston and they are not going to gain anything by putting up numbers that would favor Vararam! The unit does perform and is backed by our performance guarantee!!! We should have it in retail production extremely soon and you can judge for your self!!! We are meticulous about our units and sometimes "disappoint" some by the length of time it takes us to get the "correct" unit to market but we want you to be extremely happy with the product and love your Vararam! We will not rush just to sell units!! Those that know us know that we strive to treat you as we want to be treated and that means giving you the best product we can with the best guarantee!!!
Thanks
Steve

Just got back from dropping the car off at England Green for the dyno runs on the stock intake. Wish I could have stayed there again today for the pulls but had to be in the office this afternoon for meetings. Must say though, at least Patrick was kind enough to "loan" me his Corvette to drive but the Z06 clutch is quite the muscle builder compared to the one in my Camaro. Guess I can skip the visit to the gym after work today.

Btw rolnslo, thanks for doing all this. That's a lot of effort for a product that you don't sell!

Yep, good work rolnslo. Hope to see your stock numbers soon to compare. If it gets about 15 like the Ingen I wouldn't be surprised a bit. I dont recall but did they put a big 60 mph fan in front during the runs? I hear thats about the only way to get a more representative number with ram air, at least above what the cold air part already did.

So much for hoping to post the stock numbers earlier in the day...I completely forgot that we had dinner plans with my father-in-law plus had to take him to his hotel near the airport tonight to catch a red-eye flight in the morning...

Anyhow, on with the dyno results from today. Once they got the ECM to settle back down to within the stock parameters (comparing to the logging that was done when my car was first brought to Vararam before we installed any of their prototype intakes), quite a few pulls were done. The stock setup seemed to settle down to around 250hp/234tq consistently. A heat soaked run was made and the stock setup only pulled 242hp. Yep, that sounds like my car.

With the car already strapped down on the dyno and a second day of dyno time already being added to the invoice [Damn glad I didn't have to pay for it because it was expensive! Who said R&D is cheap? ], Patrick put the intake back on that made 272hp yesterday and was able to repeat the values consistently. He had an idea on how to gain just a bit more with a minor tweak...Here's the comparison between the stock run and that run.

What do y'all think?
