I had shoulder surgery last week (typing in a sling as we speak). Seeing how the Camaro was my only car, it was either rent a car for an extended period of time (mucho $$) or get a car with an auto and be done with it.

The reason why I went with the Stang is because there are currently no rebates on Camaros (which I needed to offset being upside down a a 10 month old car) and because it is still a pony car. Ford had a $1500 rebate on the Stang, so I did it.

Even though I went to the "dark side", I still respect the Camaro and every one this forum.

PEACE!

If it wasn't for my surgery, I wouldn't have done it either.

I never said it actually "solved" the problem, but it did help quite a bit.

On a fast high rpm 1/2 shift it went from "Ggggrrrrriinnnnddddddd" to "Ggrrinndd". A noticeable improvement for sure, and well worth the $$ spent.
Did you get one with the track pack?

Mine was the same way after the swap. Decoded just to trade it in. You have until 100k to keep swapping em. At least one of the toyota trucks with the ay6 has had 3 swaps i saw on their forum.. As in hes on their 4th at 70k!

If they swap trans for the 330hp lfx id consider getting another.

I've found a reliable service rep at my dealer finally. It took about 4 weeks to get a leather seat cover that wore out prematurely replaced. The fool that just ignored me is the same one that dismissed my transmission problems. So I called in after the regular staff had left, 4 days later I had a new leather seat. So I should better luck this time around.
Well good luck. it took me 9 months to get GM to take a look. So far they are replacing the slave cylinder , clutch and after a huge fight with the Executive level support they finally opened the gear box. Guess what, the syncros were fracked because of the clutch issue. I suggest hitting their wall on facebook get the customer service rep to escalate your case and open up the tranny properly. I suggest you get executive level support otherwise you will not get any help.
Sorry to hear brother good luck to you..

I definitely look into that if they refuse to look at it. I'm tired of being ignored about the trans issue.

Quote from my exchange with a GM employee.
please quote for me the F-bomb, I fail to see it, Also Customer is translated in shop speak as Cuss some more, say it fast you'll understand.....

And Im sure you didn't test drive and talk with the tech on your first or second visit, which you should have probably done, most service advisors have difficulty properly transferring the complaint to paper.

Also knowing what the poor sap who has to work on your car gets paid , you might want to talk to him, and maybe buy him lunch, Because he sure isn't getting rich on diagnosing you car or doing warrantFREE work.

Warranty work FYI only pays the tech 1/2 to 2/3 the labor time that a customer pay job would pay, So think about that.....

and deal with it, you bought an early production vehicle, that yes should have been track tested and all these issues figured out, before you bought your baby.... thats what you get for being the kid who has to have the first on the block. A little secret in the trade, wait a few years for the bugs to be worked out, or you get to be the guinea pig"

Nope.

Since I was upside down on the trade, I had to keep the price of the Stang as low as possible.

So just the base model with an automatic ($24,285).

So my dad had a good thought today and that is to send a letter to my state attorney general and cc gm. I am going to do this but would like to also send along additional signatures and/ or a petition. Would you all be willing to sign. Just so we can show a sampling of the problem
