I am getting a 2LT/RS and must have had my head in the ground about v6 auto not having LSD. I am not the greatest stick driver in the world, even though I drive one daily. This car will be my daily driver and I live in KY where we get a few snow storms a year. I really wanted an automatic,but paying $1000 more and not having LSD now has me rethinking. What do you guys think?

I'd get the manual unless you really dispise driving one. If you get the auto you could always have a LSD installed afterwards.

It's not that i'm horrible at it, i never stall or anything like that. It's more like i'm not sure how high to take rpm's to maximize speed, etc. Granted, the stick i drive back and forth to work is a 1.3l nissan, my z is an auto.
Take the camaro for instance, when trying to get my best time, how high should i take rpm in 1,2,3,etc.

seriously, I would shift just before redline. I drive my VW like it is a race car, I used to shift well into the red zone. Now I baby it and shift at about 6K instead of 6500. I regularly shift about 4-5,000.

Dude it's really not that hard. It just takes a keen perception and common sense. You'll regret buying the automatic the first time you step on the pedal and have to wait for the car to drop a gear. Manuals are way more convenient.

Maybe I am wrong, but I coulda sworn that a diff was an option.... I'm gonna go look it up

This post is a bit confusing. Does the LSD come on a v6 at all?
Thought you couldnt get a LSD on the V6 whether or not it was an auto or manual? Also there was no option that I was aware of.

LSD comes stock on the manual, not on the auto V-6.

there is an option to get it with the auto, but im not telling how to get it.

cus most people who will be buying the base version of the car with the automatic wont be trying to tear into it
