One factor to keep in mind is whether the cai has a DRY vs. OILED filter.
I have the Roto Fab with DRY filter and it is awesome. You just use a shop vac on it every now and again, and you can wash it with laundry soap and a hose if it gets stuck on dirt. I put 10k miles and just washed mine for the first time this week. After a few hours of drying, it was just like new. Personally, I think this is much more convenient than an OILED filter. |

Also, we actually design and engineer our own filters so they are built specifically for your vehicle and intake system to maximize performance gains. Check out this video which talks about our filter design. http://www.coldairinductions.com/air...ers-in-action/

I have had both a CAI intake and a Roto-fab (which I have now).
If you ever plan to put a blower on your car, then I'd suggest the Roto-fab. I got significant hp gains when I changed to the Roto-fab. CAI makes a very nice unit, but at the time I got my supercharger, the tube from the CAI intake didn't fit well with my SC, so I got a Roto-fab. Jannetty did several tests with various intakes. You should search for those threads (there is more than one) and see what you think. Almost everyone here will tell you to get the one they have. After all, most of us do some research when selecting mods for our car. As for where to buy, I get almost all my stuff from IPS Motorsports. They are close to me and they will price match any other vendor. Also, they never try to sell me something I don't need. |

Thanks for letting me know. I'll pass that info on to others. Now that you make them in black with the SC tube, I may switch back. I really like the clean look of the CAI too. |
