I'll take some of your luck. You seem to have lots.
I've had slow leaks over time, but I'm good with making sure pressure is up before getting on the road.

No flats while driving..period. Thankfully.

Well if the leak starts WHILE you are on the road that is kind of different isn't it? the tire was not low when I started the journey...

As I have learned in life "Never say never"... as soon as you do it will happen to you...

Varies, they have contracts with various services and whomever is next one the list for the area you are in gets the call. so it could take a few minutes or a couple hours... Just the same as if you called someone...

By the way I opted for the Spare tire on my LS....

Hence me knocking on everything in the room. So far never had a leak that happened fast enough that I didn't catch it long before a flat happened. I never say never though.

Having said all that I'm perfectly happy with not having a spare tire in the car.

Actually I am ok with it myself, I just ordered the spare because the wife feels more secure, even though I have told her the Sky does not have one... Oh well I50 bucks for peace of mind, and not having to worry about hearing "I told you so" LOL...

another case where you can ruin a tire without a blowout is get a nail in it at highway speed and by the time you realize someting is wrong your tire has overheated and started seperating... happened to me on the interstate, right rear tire on a front drive car, never gave any clue anything was wrong until it was too late..that tire had 3,000 miles on it..taking care of your tires will NOT prevent a situation where you may need a spare to get home...if I had had the tire pressure sensors though it would have warned me before the tire was runied and I could have used the pump and sealant and gotten home.

If you buy GOOD tires you will not have a problem of a nail causing a blowout. I had a half inch drill bit go through a Bridgestone backwards doing 75mph or so. It just went flat and started knocking/vibrating. This was on a 200 GP GTP (FWD) and it was a rear tire as well.

You will know if your tire is flat enough to begin building heat LONG before the tread seperates if you pay attention to what your car is doing.

I'm not saying this was the case with you but it is simply idiotic to buy a high performance car (or any car for that matter) and put the cheapest tire you can find on it.

OK here's the solution if you have an SS or RS

1: Buy an extra rim and tire
2: Put in trunk

The tire pressure sensors is all you need in your new 2010. I somehow got a sharp, hard piece of plastic, in one of my tires, on my 08 Malibu. Your information center will warn you of the location and pressure in it. It will take priority on the information display.

This is my daily driver (500 miles a week), and I'm happy with the pump and sealant. Just be sure to check pressure daily on the information center and rotate every 12000 miles. Every, other, other time you change your oil. On this car you can only rotate left to right.

Ok. If you do this, do you buy a Back tire or a Front tire?

These were factory tires..... new car.... straight road.....sorry, but I have to dissagree with you...
but you do not know the circumstances with my tire problem, do not assume you know about every senario that can occur.

You can drive many miles at 70 mph with low air (low air and summer heat will cause a tire to overheat quickly I had traveled about 30 miles before the tire started making noise.) in the tire and never feel it until it has damaged the tire beyond repair. If you had looked at the tire from the outside you would have thought it was repairable, but when the tire came off the rim you could see from the inside of the tire how the layers had seperated.
but like i said witht he tire pressure monitors that senario is history because you will be warned a long time before anything really bad happens.

See there is the problem damaged beyond repair is not the same as a blow out.
