Make sure you touch base with heinzd01 so he adds you to the list and if you plan on any mods.

You just pull it out starting at the top, there will be one of those plastic "push-in" connectors that will pull out on it's own. And, you will only be able to pull it out a couple of inches because there is also a restraining strap that keeps the pillar piece from launching if the airbag is deployed. If you need to completely remove the plastic pillar piece, just reach in with your fingers and unsnap this strap from the piece. I think it has a little clip that you push in and slide it off the piece. Then you just slide the bottom end up out of the dash.

There is an airbag in there but it's nicely tucked in and secured.

thanks SilverIceman for the information I think I would like to move it out of the way to get the wires up to the mirror for the reverse camera hookup.

heinz... i need you to scout out some nice curvy decent pavement roads around your place. BumblebeeAmigo wants a ride in my car with the suspension upgrades on mod day... I need you to point me where to take him for a nice ride...

I guess his recent SCCA win has got him thinking...

Informal poll re: dinner

Instead of driving to a restaurant for dinner, I was wondering if we should order in pizza instead like last time. I was thinking there may be a number of people with a few hour drive home that might prefer to hit the road asap.

If we go to a restaurant, it would likely be Max & Ermas and that would probably take hours. The people with a long drive would either join us at a restaurant and therefore get home later or might not join us at the restaurant preferring to get home sooner.

Or we could cut dinner from the plans and everyone is on their own.

pizza and drinks are fine with me. Or hitting a restaurant is good also. I'm with the 'crowd' and love to go with the flow. It looks like an awesome turnout this time. It will feel like a family reunion of sorts and I can't wait to see all the cars and how they have changed. Plus, I got a fancy new camera this week (Nikon D7000) and looking for excuses to start shooting!

I can do that. I'll keep you away from the blind turns because I too often see other drivers in the other lane going over the line.

Cool, thanks. I'll prob drive it once slow then a tad bit more aggressive. I learned at the Leprechaun, my idea of aggressive is others absolutely freaking insane!

As for dinner, I'm cool any way you decide... I know that's no help. Sorry.

I feel I am the same....

I took one of the camaros for a test drive at the Cleveland Autoshow last year in the ride and drive and the guy riding with me had his hand on the e-brake and the arm rest handle

as far as food... I don't care. If the mods run long, it might be better to order in, or fore go it all together and leave everyone on their own.

Ordered my MGW shifter online today for $350. Apparently they don't normally have vendors selling them. I did find where Ligenfelter had them for $399, but the might just buy them at full price and resell them for a small profit.
