Delivery Delay

8 weeks ago I ordered a vert. 3 days ago, the dealer told me the car has been manufactured. However, delivery date is unknown. Anyone had similar issues with slow delivery?

Anyone know how long?
I know my vert has shipped...but my impatience is kicking in. Anyone know the time frame to get it to central Jersey?

Ordered mine back in Nov. Will be getting her today or tomorrow. Once you hit 4800 you should be within a week. Mine was built on the 3rd of March - so about a month after build date.

From a message posted by BeckD when someone else asked about delivery times....

Sorry ToddB :( I can't
tell when it will get there -

but - if you allow about 3 weeks
from when it was built, I think that's
reasonable. "

LMAO!

I ordered my vert back in Nov. Was built on Feb 7 and still don't have it. Car sat outside the stripe factory for 44 days waiting to get two stripes on it. Then it finally was put on a train and spent six days in a railyard in Ohio for no reason. So as for wait times, good luck! You'll probably get your car before me just take a look at all the people who had cars built after mine that are driving around in them. Some assembly line.

Yeah, 8 weeks won't get much sympathy around here. I'm only on about week 9 since I placed my order at the dealership and while I'm right there with you about how long it feels... there are others that have been tracking how long they have been waiting in months not weeks.

That all said, mine was built on 3/24 and I have an estimated delivery date of 4/10 from my dealer. We'll see if that actually happens.

HEY! mine was built around 3/24/11! My dealer said it would be here around the 3rd week of April. I talked with a shipping driver and he said big delay is spring flooding here in Minnesota.

Sorry to hear all the delays.. Mine was TPW 3/28.. Dealer told me estimated delivery 4/15. But I live near NYC, so not far to travel from plant.

My vert is sitting in a rail yard 30 miles from my house, waiting for priority. I asked if I could go pick it up and they said no. I asked if I could go break into the rail yard and steal it and my dealer said sure, go ahead, but dont get caught.

Eight weeks is slow? I'm up to eighteen, and the dealer is suggesting four to five more before he has it. And I'm sure I haven't waited the longest.

Interestingly, I'm on vacation down in Tucson and there's a dealer here with six verts for sale on his lot. Had a momentary thought to cancel my order and buy one down here, but getting it back into Canada could be problematic (even though that's where it was made).

Has delivery of coupes been slow too, or is this just a problem with verts?
