El Paso to Las Cruces, no checkpoint, as you branch out towards Deming there is one.

check point is in sierra blanca but its on I-10 east coming west no checkpoint

I may not be able to make this trip to C5Fest.

If the Budget does not get passed, all leave will be cancelled until there is a budget.

Ok, call me out, no border check points in VA, what is needed, and what's prohibited? Just asking? And, would they do this with a shut down?

The Border Checkpoints will still be open as they are "excepted" employees and are not subject to "furlough".

If you are a US Citizen, no docs required unless they ask for them. If not US Citizen you will required to present you legal immigration docs to be in the US.

Prohibited items are: Weapons, narcotics, ammo, explosives, things that your your typical smuggler/terrorist would have.

Anyone can be subjected to an inspection at any time, so be prepared to have everything gone through.

This may set the arrival time back depending on how many get pulled over, and how long it takes for the inspection.

Was just told my leave may possibly be cancelled... I'm the only military person who does my job at White Sands.. The other guy is civilian and he is considered non-essential since I can do his job...
