Thanks...Now what really puzzles me is why the heck dont they or HE tell us
(camaro5) this info?????? All were being told is "keep the Faith":(

I think we were being told to keep the faith about a month ago in hopes they would get ABL all in. Now it looks like we are only getting the doors. I look at it this way...look at the stripes. They only go the the edge of the body panel, and they are stickers. I don't think anyone can say those don't count as stripes. Sure we would prefer them to be different, painted or done differently, but it still counts as a stripe. The same with ABL. You are still getting ABL, albeit in the doors only. I think this is the best they can do with what they have. No one thinks it is a good idea to promote something on this car and then change it, or remove it. There is a good reason it can't be done or they would do it.

Hey Stout, i think we have a week and a half before officially knowing, but who knows, thats what has been said before. What worries me is that they stated that if it doesnt look right, they will either delay it, oir not include it at all. Now they are saying the doors only and i dont think that they would assume that that looks right. So realistically we still dont have a clue, if its the doors only, im hoping theres some decent way to go aftermarket and get the dash to light up the same way
I came across the dubai video again on youtube and i got soo depressed. Do you know how amazing it looks in there, and it wasnt even finished. I dont understand how it keeps cracking in heat testing and i hope they fix it, because they had a really good idea, and it looked great as well. im going to go watch it again

To me, not having it across the dash would be very disappointing. I watched the Dubai video several times. I think it loks absolutely awesome. It makes the car standout way above the Challenger and Mustang.

It captures, to me, the very essence of being different and powerful. THe type of stuff that is there to amaze and delight the owner and passenger.

If it isn't on the ealy productionmodels, I would sincerely hope that GM, finds a way to offer retro-fit kits to allow installation.

god you guys are whiney...

btw, using the argument "i paid for this waaaaa" is a silly one, no one's paid for their car as of yet and the under writting that actual production model will vary kinda goes in effect for this.

if the "drawbacks" of the camaro (hud, nav, hurst shifter, abl, etc etc) are too much for you guys to bare, just go elsewhere... you'll be missed but trust me, soon as you see one of those 100k camaros out on the road within a year or so of production; you'll be kicking yourself.

in the mean time, calm down and stop posting up every 3 days expecting some sort of revalation.

At what point would "etc, etc" dissapoint you? I've been trying to tell people here that everyone doesn't love the Camaro as much as the people on this forum; they won't put up with drawbacks. Just building a Camaro isn't enough, especially with an economy that gets worse everyday. They need every option they can get working right now.

Oh no, the Camaro only has 100 HP now! But they did say that actual production model will vary so oh well!

We've been over this before. That's for legal reasons, it's not there so we can't be dissapointed when they let us down. I don't get to sue GM, but I sill get to be pissed if they change up what they said they would deliver.

99% of the people who will be driving this car wont even know what abl is if it doesn't exist when they sign the dotted line. same goes with all the other things that might not get in for launch, the only people will know is those building it and us, the ones who care enough to dig and search for info... the rest will just see a hot car with a happy driver.

the problem with people like you is that you have no faith in the people who have been building this car day in and day out over the past 3 years.

all things have been done to make this car everything and more then you thought it could have/would have been. whinnning and complaining otherwise is just about a direct insult to their work.

yes, always have faith... but dont forget the other side of that statement: have some god damn understanding too.

I can't beleive this thread is still alive.

How can anyone complain when no one said ABL is not happening. I think I'll go kick my dog cause he might chew the lawn furniture sometime in the near future.

We've had nothing BUT "faith" all these years waiting for this Camaro...

.....and suddenly because we want to see perfection in a vehicle we are spending upwards of $40k on.....

and WE have a problem??

Theres a reason that Abl threads wont die. Alot of us whinned and moaned
about not having a Blue offered on ss models, after GM reconized this, well
geuss what, WE GOT IT!

What I'm trying to say is, if we do end up getting it , (the way it should be)
it MAY be due to the people (like me) Stout, TAG, and a WHOLE lot of others
that bitched, and kept the thread active.

Maybee I'm dead wrong on think'in this, but it sure cant hurt!
So go ahead and start the crybaby comments, whinners ect. it helps keep
the thread alive especially when Sout has to repeat his self time
and time again.

NO BODY IS CANCELLING THERE ORDER OVER ABL!!! we just wont it done
rite. to all of you, even the ones that panic and get bent out
of shape when they see ABL being dicussed.......just my 00.2 , Thanks!
