Yes Nick it is! Meet me at the nearest dealer and I'll pay for it. If I'm not there go ahead and do all the paperwork and I'll reimburse you later.

Trust me....I'd LOVE to. I don't care if I lose most of my races, just winning one would be worth it. Reminds of my World of Warcraft days....I was a terrible player and lost about 90% of the fights I got in, but the 10% I won made all the drubbings I got worth it, lol.

Anyway, back to the track....my wife won't let me...she's adamant about it. No until the car is paid for, she says. She's worried that if something busts while at the track it wouldn't be covered by warranty or insurance so she say's it'd be irresponsible for me to go.

Off topic, but I like your wheels Nick.

I can see where your wife is coming from, but you only live once. Wait until she goes out of town and then have some fun.

This is a very real concern... A friend just toasted his cherry 4th gen T/A at the track... its all out of pocket... and from talking to him, his pockets are shallow... :(

Thanks! American Racing Mach something or other, lol. I got them "used" (pre-owned but never mounted on a car before) for $350 due to a few small scratches on the black, which were all easily fixed with my GM touch up paint. I love'em, way nicer than the Heritage Steel AND lighter! (so maybe that means I could beat that Sky Redline, LOL!)

I'm actually thinking of calling in sick to work one day and going to the track while my wife is at work. That's lying, isn't it?

That always bugs me. And not just for racing...just normal driving!
Insurance companies also set limits on how far of a commute you can have, or your rates go up.
I mean, who the f**k are they to dictate how I use my car when I'm paying them almost $100 a month just so I can drive it?!?

Right, like a great driver in the camaro and a shitty one in the sky? get over it dude. The sky also comes stock with boost so it's not a mod, even if it is running 20 psi through it's 32 mm tiny ass turbo. That tiny ass turbo and some mods let me go 11.95 at nearly 118 mph in a 2.0. Not tooting my own horn buts that's faster than most ss's on this site. And I know it's a camaro forum and why the hell am I here and yada yada, but I am just a die hard automotive fan that loves anything GM.

That's a hell of a deal for those wheels. Are they 18s? I think they are but not really sure. They're definitely much lighter than those heavy steelies.

You can be sick and still drive down the track. Seriously though, if you're worried about breaking something or don't have the funds set aside to fix what may break then I would wait. Hate to see you put yourself in debt over our manly need to go fast.

Those turbo'd Cobalts are sneaky fast and fun as hell to drive. 11.95 is a great time!

Sandusky huh? Go to Cedar Point much?

Yeah, they're 18's. I love'em. They make my car look 10 times better, IMHO. I used to make fun of guys who would lust after nice rims, but now I understand.

In the end they actually cost my $450 though 'cos they came with the wrong size lugnuts, man those puppies are expensive!

Wheels can make or break a car's looks. I'm not one to spend $6-8k for wheels like some people, but I do appreciate a nice looking wheel.
