Shit! Didn't think that far ahead. And since the tires are directional........ you know what? Screw it,just install a hitch, buy a little trailer, and buy a whole extra set of rims to cart around with you.

another case where you can ruin a tire without a blowout is get a nail in it at highway speed and by the time you realize someting is wrong your tire has overheated and started seperating... happened to me on the interstate, right rear tire on a front drive car, never gave any clue anything was wrong until it was too late..that tire had 3,000 miles on it..taking care of your tires will NOT prevent a situation where you may need a spare to get home...if I had had the tire pressure sensors though it would have warned me before the tire was runied and I could have used the pump and sealant and gotten home.

If you want to jack up your car and switch to winter wheels, does it have a jack? Is there a lug wrench?

I would say no if you don;t get the spare. the spare option is $150 dollars I doubt a donut spare costs that much, so it probably includes a jack then. If you only have the compressor and flat fix you probably don't get a jack.

The point I was trying to make is that you would not have been stranded and you can drive carefully on a tire with delamination damage at low speeds for a while.

Someone came up with a spare tire kit for C6 vettes. Maybe he'll make one for camaros that fit in the donut hole? www.vettespare.com

The SS does NOT come with a jack, only the flat tire fix pump.
