Had some guy in a GT 500 pull up along side me at a light in Springfield 2 weeks ago and start up with me. He must have had the electronic cut out because suddenly he got a lot louder. I rolled down my window and he rolled down his window and I said "It's just a V6" He sped away making a lot of racket. I guess he showed me.

what happens to me a lot is that i will be driving my daily driver around town, which happens to be a nice car, but not a loud as hell camaro. and i will see a mustang or another car reviving his engine and stuff like that. and wish i was in my SS at that time.

That's funny... I just pulled mine out of storage over the weekend and I had two new 5.0's try to race me. I had my 4 year old in the car both times, so it was a no go. I did however get my azz handed to me by my buddies CTS v couple (6 speed) over the weekend.

Just ignore them. Anyone trying to get you to race on the street is not the brightest- especially with kids in the car.

It's funny that when I'm in my 70 Buick with 685hp and a nice rumble sound out of the duel 3" pipes not many people try to race me but in the camaro you can't go 5 minutes without someone trying to run it.

we need to get some bumper stickers that say . . .

STREET RACING IS FOR LUGERS AND SISSIES
follow me to the track and ill hurt yer fealings

i cant stand all that ego B.S. once you have actually driven one of these cars at or near its potential, doing anything on the street seems like a waste. street racing there is hardly ever a clear winner that both people agree on. either there is the you jumped me fight or the slow guy blow by at the end. i win right? no. street racing, ha, silly kids stuff.
