To the one that posted about replacing the stock piece instead of cutting. Yes do it. There is no way I would cut my stock line.

Ok I am confused is the the check valve needed for max results or not? From the pictures above its needed. As to the AN braided hoses is the check valve eliminated? I dont want any noise from my can but I dont want extra oil getting thru either. If that was the case I would just have saved my money and left it stock. I think mine should be shipping sometime soon and just want to make sure its right.

I too am a bit confused about whether the AN option has the check valve. I always assumed so. Just to note. Tracy has made a design change since I got my can. It seemed like a good change. Without seeing it in action via a sight glass, one can only assume the effect on flow.

What was the design change and when did they start with the new design?

Any pictures out there of the AN fittings/braided hoses installed? Does the stock plastic tube slip right into the braided hose or is an adapter needed? Just checking before I cut my plastic tube. Thanks!

In my opinion the hoses themselves aren't the problem. If anything I think a hard line would amplify sound more than soft rubber. The rubber hose is relitively inexpensive. You can always try it out.

The valve is part of the design as it controls the amount of flow allowing the oil to drop out of suspension. But no other cans have the valve so w/out it you still have the greater volume and the extra baffeling (indeedSS has the earlier model without an additional diverter added).
It may be the valves in the past 30 or so days that are noisier then the original ones so all are now shipping with both. The braided lines & AN fittings dont allow the valves to be used but it is still the most functional one available as indeedSS's pull through tests will show. |

Here is the picture of his diverter. It's the shield or sleeve that goes around the long tube. As noted, my can is an older version and doesn't have this sleeve.

Didnt think it was going to be this hard I know I paid for AN fittings & braided but at this point I just dont know what I should do. Worried about noise because it must be bad because theses guys spent all weekend trying to find out what the issues is. I was also not made aware until now ordering braided hoses would remove a major part ( check valve)that set this can apart from all others .

You will be happy. It still has the least amount of pull through of ANY on the market (allthough there are several great cans on the market). The AN/Braided hoses makes it look custom.
The checkvalve issue will be corrected if thats the issue (there are thousands of these in use w/out the noise issue). Even with the noise it is the ultimate but it should not be that noticeable. |

So, what catch can are you running now??? Did you switch to Elite. If so, is it only related to the hissing?

The RX pictured on the last page was just reinstalled yesterday without the check valve and added my inline glass tube to see how it was doing.
