I think you have already made up your mind....and the answers you get here will probably reinforce it. DO IT!

It is all the fun of the coupe, PLUS top-down driving and an increased WOW factor.....all for a minimal fee of $14k. Enjoy your vert!

Where you live, I don't think I'd ever NOT have a convertible. Go for it!

My sticker was $42k here in PA and the dealer honored GM Supplier discount. Good luck with you new vert!

If you have plenty of cash, go for it; you can't take it with you. If not, I'd wait another year or so to see what Chevy has up it's sleeve for future convertible models, like maybe the ZL-1. In the meantime, enjoy your 2010 model. JMO.

I traded my 2LT/RS for my 2SS/RS convertible and could not be any happier. If you have the means I would recommend doing it !

Link to a pic of both of them.

Well 808Camaro, imho it's all what you are into. My view is I'd rather spend the $$$ and enjoy it than let the nursing home get it all - as I've seen with so many retired neighbors who have since passed on.

Except for one lady, Grace W., who drove a '69 dark green Camaro hardtop she must have bought new. It had a 250 6-cyl. with 2-speed powerglide automatic, she let me tune it up for her when I was in high school in '78. Man that car wound up 1st to 2nd! Not real fast, but a sweet car still!

That being said, I'd never pay over sticker. Check with someone in the forum like BeckyD if you need a second opinion, I did and that's how I'm buying OrangeVert. It once and for all cut out the usual "car buying dance" that I was about to get into, and I got an excellent price as well, not to mention one of the sweetest and hottest rides ever to be made by GM! Imho, if it's what you want then I would go for it! Heck, I did and believe me I'm a #1 cheapskate - just ask my wife. But I couldn't resist its beauty and ZZZooooMMM!!! Good luck with your decision.

BeckyD is the greatest, and really knows her stuff!!!

What options are on the vert? 42-43 would be a loaded vert minus the 21 inch wheels and gfx.

Thanks for the inputs guys....I still have my 69 SS coupe as well that I can enjoy...hopefully I can get a better price, but being that the inventory here in Hawaii is pretty tight I don't have much say if I really want it I've got to pay $$$$$

KEEP LOOKING and be patient

I bought the first convertible that I know of on the island. I picked up a silver SS from Servco FOR STICKER PRICE. The have an IOM SS coming but I think it is sold already. Best bet would be to talk to them and see when they are getting another one and maybe sell yours outright on CL or the autotrade sonce they are still relativly rare here. Pm me if you have any questions.

I did not appreciate the "Aloha" I felt at Cutter one bit.

I traded my 2010 1SSRS coupe for my vert and am glad that I did. I also changed from an automatic to a manual and love the stick.

Picture this;

Driving along the island coast, top down, the rumble of 426 horses. Slicing the curves and getting the stares of all the sad mustang drivers...

...did you buy it yet?

As much as I love the coupe, it's too closed in to be driving through that scenery.
