For $80,000 on top of the cost of an SS, the SLP ZL1 should perform like a $120,000 vehicle.

I concur! 80K for what you can do yourself for less than 20k does not make much sense to me. Don't get me wrong.... I like SLP and what they do but the mark up on the ZL1 is a bit much for a 427 and some badging.

I agree, it's a bit pricey but you do get 750 hp with a warrantee.

With some mod on the tires, it could easily be in the 10s, MW said.
http://slpcamaro.com/2011/03/09/vide...-zl585-camaro/ - I think this site gives another look at it, it's good stuff. Also PBS.org also showing the MW testing on the ZL1 as well.

Watched it...Not too shocked of the price being it's SLP car. Im' sure they wil sell all of them.
Didn't like the way the top (above the center of the grille) of the nose deflected up at speed. I hope the stock nose doesn't do this.

Ehh the SLP ZL1 is sweet, but for the differance in price of the gm zl1 just imagine all the cash you would have left over, or heck you could possible by a nice new vert SS to go along with your GM LZ1. Food for thought just saying .

no doubt. i'm not spending that. 117k before taxes is waaaayyyy too much. you can take an ss and do it for less. for starters you can do without the exterior and interior changes.

for that matter just wait for the zl1 with most of the stuff done and have a performance shop with a warranty up the hp to 700.
