i spent a lot of time researching all my options, for the money, MRT V2 if you want axle back, or Solo Mach-X LLT if you want cat back. if you want to spend a lot, get a borla!!

most all sound good.

i went with the Solo due to the fact that i may want to add headers in the future, and the cat back will handle that easier.

As a resident of New York and commuter into NYC I can remark on legality.

NO its not legal! Anything that makes your stock louder in NY is considered illegal and can get you fined!

No cops are going to get under your car to check what you have so this is basically in regards to mufflers specifically. If your muffler is loud, they can pull you over and give you a muffler ticket.

HOWEVER!

On newer cars and American cars cops tend to let mufflers slide. NY cops go after cars mainly with tints AND mufflers so they can get you for both. They tend to bother imports like Civics with loud exhausts because they produce a much moer higher pitched a whine noise. The grumble from a V8 tends to not get bothered as much. V6s fall somewhere in between.

Ive been pulled over 15 times for tints all in my old car and before the tints I had a loud muffler for 6 months with no pull overs.

So as long as you dont have tints you should be okay but just be aware that they can pull you over. And there are cops out there with not much better to do who will pull you over to harass you about loud exhaust.

The best route Ive found for NY is electric cut outs with stock mufflers. Unfortunately many people hate the sound of cut outs but its the safest way.

Hope you enjoyed my short paper on NY, Cops, and Exhaust LOL

it will void the exhaust warranty. if its just an axle back the muffler warranty will be gone, everything should be fine though. I am going to go with MRT either V1 or V2, i am thinking V2 just because it is deeper but i love the idle of the V1.. from the guy above me i guess it is illegal in NY
