Goodies

Got home last night and had some packages waiting at the door for me. Took them inside got the boy a juice and a snack and began opening them. Finally, my CAI showed up as well as my Bowties from Gary. Was begining to get worried about those as I had seen multiple post about Gary not answer messages or his phone. Well, I grab a beer, my little tool box, tied the dog up out front and got to work. The CAI went on quite easily, took maybe 30min, and most of that was unbolting/bolting. The front Bowtie came off with just a little effort. The rear one, getting it off was fairly easy, used the fishing line trick. But getting the adhesive off was a royal pain. But after a break to feed my little monster, I came back and finished romoving the adhesive and got the rear one installed. Very pleased with how the Bowties came out, they look awesome. Now just waiting on my dual halos to come in (remote fob is on backorder....of course). Well will see you guys out there, and planning to show up to the car show in Temple, not registering though.

Lookin good! I got my CAI yesterday as well as my engine bay cosmetics. Didn't get time for pictures, because my engine cover is sitting on my dinning room table for 24 hours. Will post picture or just see what you guys think in person.

Figured I needed to do something to the engine, looked too stock for my liking. Should look pretty slick.

Just got this from Blooming fest re car show parking and entry being changed...

Dear Car Show Participants,

Thank you for entering this year’s Bloomin’ Temple Car Show set for this Saturday, April 16 in Downtown Temple. The festival location has changed since we sent out the car show materials in March. The Temple Police Department moved out of their new station (due to mold) back into their old station which was in our former festival location.

SHOW CAR ENTRY LOCATION
Show cars will enter at East Adams Avenue and 6th Street. (See attached map.) Our volunteers will be available for parking as early as 8 a.m. Please arrive no later than 11 a.m. Cars will be parked on Central Avenue and in the parking areas and blocks surrounding it.

REGISTRATION OPENS AT 9 A.M.
Our volunteers will start registration at 9 a.m. under the car show tents. You will receive your tee-shirt, goodie basket, and yellow wrist band for all of Saturday’s activities. More information on the day of fun is at www.bloomintemple.com

TRAILER PARKING
Trailer parking will be available at the SPJST Home Office, located at 520 North Main Street. This is across the street from Temple’s main post office. Feel free to park your trailers/vehicles anywhere in the lot. This is located about six blocks from the car show entry location. (To get to the car show entry location from the SPJST parking lot --- Turn right out of the parking lot onto Main Street. Go five blocks to the stop light at East Adams Avenue. Take a left. Go three blocks to 6th Street. Take a right to car show entry location.)

FORT HOOD MEMORIAL
Car show proceeds will benefit Fort Hood November 5th, 2009 Memorial to be constructed in memory of those lost in the Fort Hood shooting. We have received many wonderful items from area businesses for the silent auction. I hope you will take a look at these items, and place a bid or two!

THANK YOU!
Thank you again for your participation. We appreciate your interest and the time you are spending preparing your vehicle for the show. Good weather and lots of spectators are anticipated. Looking forward to seeing you on Saturday!

David and Melanie

Looking good but you might want to paint that Filter Box. Just my opinion.

the wife and I took a stroll down to Belton Lake to see if we could find some spots to take some pictures of car. The Temple park was pretty empty so I took the car down the boat ramp. Unfortunately the sun was on the wrong side so our shots didnt come out like we would like. Gonna go back sometime during the morning to get the right light.
I was thinking though since it was such an enjoyable ride out there, maybe a convoy sometime? Plenty of grills out there for a BBQ, youve got the water, animals are allowed. Just somethin to think about for the future.
