Why do 2 different LS3's rev so differently?

Hi guys,

I am trying to buy my first Camaro. I have a preferred dealer, but the LS3 that he has sounds and feels sluggish compared to the same car at a different dealer. Are these engines likely to have different tunes from the factory? One seem to rev and decelerate slower than the other. We even parked 2 side by side and there is a noted enough difference between them. My dealer is going to have the service department run a diagnostic in the morning. Does anyone have any ideas why this would be?

Thanks

Just a wild guess

If the car has been run on regular it trips the computer knock sensor and tunes it back. Pull 5 and 20 fuse let sit a couple hours. make sure there is premium fuel in it. You should see a difference. there is a huge thread on here discussing this problem

Thanks for that. I have been reading it. I can't believe I didn't think of gas as the culprit. I just assumed that a car with 50 miles on it wouldn't have trigger the low octane map, but I guess they are designed that way for a reason.

If you drop a can of 104 octane boost in the tank, you'll know for sure.
