For the first time since I've ordered my 2SS I have not recieved a call from my dealer. Almost every other week I would call him and ask if there is anything new on the Camaro, and as always he would have nothing to give me.
Well today, for the first time since November 3rd, my dealer called me. He told me that his dealership (Cecil Clark Chevrolet) was allocated 1 Camaro for the March 17th - April 1 quarter. Which at first made me exited and yet depressed at the same time, because I'm 3rd on the list.
I then told him it was great news and he told me there was more. The person 2nd in line was a v6 order and he canceled his order once he found out about the v8 and v6 allocations. The number 1 person ordered an automatic 2ss, which he then stated that something (and im not trying to start any flames or rumors) with the AFM is currently getting worked on, so I was moved to number 1.
WHICH IS AWESOME!!!!!!!!! He stated that, now this is just an estimate, he is hoping the car will arrive sometime in mid to late April. WHICH IS AWESOME.

Only bad thing he had to share with me was the Hurst Shifter problems, which isnt a big deal to me, I simply removed the shifter from my order so I could be the 1st on the list. I cant believe how happy I was when I got off the phone with my dealer. I may be the first in central Florida with a Camaro!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I FIND THAT VERY HARD TO BELIEVE THAT AFM IS BEING WORKED ON!!!!!!!!

If it was something important that would cause a delay it would have been on the constraint report today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But it wasnt. so either your dealer doest know what hes talking about or hes lying---ORRRRR--they are working on afm but its nothing thats calls for a constraint

I knew it, i started it and i even gave a heads up.

If the dealer is misinformed, that fine, im still their first allocated Camaro.

Maybe the guy who was number 1 dropped his orderbecause he heard a rumor, sucks to be him.

Regardless I wanted to share it with the site.

Active Fuel Management. it makes your v8 sound like a 4 banger!!!
