I could do without a good amount of the 2SS content except for the leather. I don't really need a lot of the electronic content except for the BA.

dont they have traction control and electric seats? and I am sure there are a few other things that could be tossed. Hopefully there will be a tubular K-member out for them if there isnt already... just my 2 pennies

* Air Bags
* Power Door Locks
* OnStar
* Remote Keyless Entry
* Power Seats
* StabiliTrak
* Tire Pressure Monitoring
* Power Windows
* XM Radio
* Bluetooth
* PDIM
* USB Port
* Seat Heaters

Now that that fantasy is over, since I know they will never offer a car that way again in my lifetime, what I realistically want is to be able to order a 1SS without leather, but with the Auxiliary 4 Gauge pod.

A stripper model would be cool.

Roll up windows, manual seats, manual locks and 18" wheels. Might save a couple hundred pounds and be a few thousand less dollars.

HUD and back up assist when they become available. I hope they're options. This is why I want the first round of cars.
I would like too see cooled seats though.

This is a what can you do without thread... not what do you want.

For me, i could do without traction control, a solid roof (ie: convertible!), and rear park assist. I know how to back up.

I don't have much use for traction control either, but how much weight do you guys think you could save by omitting it? A couple ounces for the switch and a couple feet of wire?

Planning out packages of desirable options is pretty well thought out. MSRP has a lot to do with sales, and tacking on options most don't want is not conducive to gross sales.

Rollup windows an rubber floors, or any engineering adds to the base cost of a vehicle.

As a for instance, a manual trans is no longer offered on SIlverado 1500 because so few were ordered the engineering to validate and offer them was counter productive cost wise.

Actually, being able to buy something that can run numbers the old muscle could never dream of, while blasting the ac and playing tunes on a nice stereo system, isn't that bad of a trade off.

Count the number of folks that will opt for a 2SS over a 1SS. The content offered is not dictated by the manufacturer. It's dictated by the majority of customers.
