This a video of not this run but one of my other 12.01X runs, I made at least 5 that day so I backed it up pretty good.
Best Et at Lebanon Bolt On C5 Camaro

Quite impressive. That's cammed trap speed. I'm assuming you have an LS3 M6 by that impressive trap speed?

If you come to my house I'll pull the timing cover off and show you the stock single bolt.....

Seriously, Its a stock cam. I attribute it to the dual 3 " exhaust and "tune" model vararam (the newest vararam design) and my tuning......

I'm a senior quality engineer for a major DOD contractor, I'm not hiding anything from you guys

Hey Ken....

Don't take any offense....I can pull my timing cover and show you my stock single bolt too. ( shhhh don't tell anyone there's a Comp Cam behind it )

I'm trapping 116.28 with my mods...if you're getting that kind of trap out of your tune, I want you to tune my car as well, because that's impressive power out of a stock LS3 cam.

To trap 116 you have to be laying down in the 470 rwhp range.....and to get there, you need more than what you have.

Either that or you have a true freak.

Based on Dragtimes.com the conditions were different than his time slip. From what I've seen, weather information printed on time slips is usually not accurate.

Dragtimes shows temps were in the high 30s - low 40s with a very high pressure 30.21. This gave a Density Altitude of negative -1481 ft.

His car is going to run much faster than average in those conditions. If he was running in average conditions (say +1000 ft DA), his time would have been around 12.2 - 12.3 @ 114 mph or so.

Its the ATCO effect. N.E. tracks (low elevation) combined with cold weather equals crazy fast times.

I see where dragtimes states Da was -1481. But track elevation shows 10'. This is incorrect. Track elevation for Lebanon is 602' per Lebanon's Website. Using the 602' it corrects to 12.092 at 116.815 which is pretty dam impressive. That's one fast LS3

Definately impressive. And corrected times are corrected to excellent conditions (0 density altitude).
So in "average" conditions (+1000 ft), his time would have been up around
12.2 @ 115 mph or so.

But that's still very impressive. The guys out at Camaro5fest in +3800 ft DA were running slower than that with superchargers on their cars.

I'm just trying to show people that cars can run real fast times if the conditions are right. It can be hard for people to believe when someone runs unusually fast. Had he trapped 117 mph in +1000 ft. conditions, I woudn't believe it. It just wouldn't add up. But in cold air with high pressure, real fast times are possible.

Thanks for all the comments guys and for the corrections.....yes it was a good day at the track. It was definately some unusual conditions...

The car is very fast......and I have had a professional tuner looking over my shoulder while tuning this car and he said my tune is "perfect"

I like to give myself a little credit here

Ken
