headers and exhaust

OK guys my questions is....my camaro is daily driver with occasional trips to strip and im looking to add 1-7/8" headers and Borla ATAK exhaust with a cam down the road. What are your thoughts on headers with cats or without cats. I'm looking for best torque and off the line performance vs. high end gains. Local shop says delete cats but ive been reading that they are better for torque. I do want my exhaust on the loud side which is why local shop said to delete cats but torque is my first priority.I'm getting a custom tune so cat delete is not an issue in that regard.

If anyone has any convincing arguements for any particular brand of long tube headers that would be appreciated as well.

I can tell you that the ARH LTs w/ hi flow cats will make your ride loud and aggressive. I can't comment w/o cats, but prior to my Kenne Bell install I found the sound to be aggressively impressive paired with my cherry bombs (have to have the helmholtz tube to kill the drone). After the FI, it is better than viagra for erectile maintenance I can post a recording but I don't know that it would help much as the Kenne Bell exponentially increases the growl
