I had a muffler delete on my ole heap when everything was bone stock. It sounded really tough with that combo and it wasn`t expensive at all. There are several easy to install kits out there. The one I had was from Magnaflow. I have since gone to great efforts to bring down the growl after some mods. Inspite of my buddies telling me there is no such thing as "Too Loud" . HA !!!

Whats up Dirty D-- I`m on Liberty right now.

100% muffler delete. easily under $200 even less if you reuse factory tips.
nice sound, not overly loud and no drone
love mine!

Muffler delete = NO! Not legal in Texas. Also way too raspy. Just my 2 cents.

how is it not legal? you have your cats, your smog equip and its not overly loud>? and OP is in FL not TX
and how is it raspy? its deep and awesome sounding, sounds as good as a $500 axle back, and is much cheaper?

I have SLP's loudmouth which is essentially a muffler delete kit. Theres no rasp unless you just sit and rev it but under throttle it sounds great. There is a little bit of drone but I got used to it plus I plan on adding a full LT setup anyways.

I went with ARH into the American Thunder. The low end sounds good but I can't stand the tin can rattle when you get on to it. Sooo.. I'm getting ready to locate a set of GMMG chambered and tear them apart for the 2010.

I have never heard anything that sounds as good as a set of GMMG Chambered. The Flowmasters sound good as long as you don't accelerate to quickly.. Good luck!

This is MY opinion and many people like the sound.

Is muffler delete popular because it sounds loud or just because it is a cheaper alternative...I cannot stand the tone. But I can understand if people are using it because it is cheaper than throwing 500-1000 dollars...

Who said it was illegal? Its not raspy at all. Have you even heard an SS with a muffler delete? Take your $0.02 back.

lol

I too have the delete, cost me $90 at a muffler shop, looks stock but sounds great. Nice rumble and opens up with a heavy throtle. Yes there is noticeable drone cruising at highway speeds but it's not overbearing at all and i got use to it very quick.

The only draw back for me is when i add headers im going to need to buy mufflers again to tone it done, which most people will buy a full exhaust if doing headers. (But some are keeping the stock cat-back)
