The recall came out in December so I'm assuming it applies to any car built before December

damn... I am certain that if I go in, the dealer will tell me its chipping because I have subs in the trunk.

Mine's a 2010 Built in September 2009. Does the spoiler have to be making contact with the trunk to cause this? I checked mine and there is a very small gap all the way around and no chips.

I just talked with my service rep about this today as I have been having the same issue. It is caused from hard cornering, not bumps or anything like that. If you are having this problem you need to go in and tell your service rep to look up the Document ID - 2549392 Published on December 2nd of 2010. They will HAVE to fix this for you if your car is experiencing these paint chips. Also, they should give you a loaner car in the mean time.

LOL that is exactly where my spoiler was rubbing against the trunk lid...

I actually had them just touch up the paint on mine...it was all underneath the spoiler so i didnt care, just dont want anything to rust.
