If I may suggest an idea outside the conventional thinking. This idea would have pros and cons, of course. But since we're just throwing things out there...

You have moderators and members who live in all parts of the country. You have vendors in all parts of the country. You have Camaros in all parts of the country.

Maybe it's time to think about (again just an idea, if it wouldn't work, OK) regional Camaro5 fests that occur throughout the year. Perhaps two or three of them. Example: November in Chandler, AZ. April in Georgia. July somewhere in the northeast or central U.S.

I know vendors couldn't go to all of them. Vendors near those areas could attend. Many can't go across the country so they aren't going to be there anyway. But they can if they want to.

I understand it would involve more people from the Camaro5 community to set things up. I understand it might be a bad idea and that people just want one fest per year. That's cool.

I'm just throwing this out there. I think the organizers do a tremendous job with this yearly shindig. But because of popularity, maybe it's time for a spring and fall fest. Maybe it's time for West, Central and East Fest.

Maybe it's time for Mud to shut the hell up.

Hey, you won't hurt my feelings if you think it's a bad or unworkable idea. I'm just stirring up what's left of my brain matter.

We've committed to one event a year. Mostly because we are volunteers and have regular day jobs.

it is easier for all of us to commit to one a year and almost impossible to spread it out over multiple locations.

Plus the cost soars when you have to rent multiple facilities....

In order for us to be able to do this we need volume... Lots of sponsors, lots of drivers and tons of spectators...

that money is basically what we use to cover the required costs for an event like this...

You guys are free to hold regional events whenever you like. But the draw of the Fest is that it is a once a year gathering that we all look forward to. I think when you break it up you lose that "experience"

I can say that for the next couple years it will most likely be a once a year event.

Texas would def be a great location, seeing how there are 4 major cities here and a ton of the camaro population already in the state.
