Too tall for camaro?

I went to a car show the other day and was checking out a camaro they had displayed. The dealer told me to get in and see how I fit. I am about 6'5-6'6 and he told me that the hard top wouldn't be an option for me, the convertible would be the only way I could fit in a camaro. I did sit in another camaro hard top and it didn't seem to bad, but didn't drive it. Anyone here 6'5 or taller that drives a new camaro? I know that when I sat in the hard top the seat was against the backseat all the way... so no one could sit in the back at all.. Just curious.

there are several camaro owners that are that tall & still drive the camaro..

Take the seat all the way back.

You would have an issue with one with a sunroof. I have the hard top and my son, who is 6'5, fits fine.

I'm 6'5" and I owned an LT/RS with a sunroof. I was pretty close to the top but it didn't bother me. I now own a convertible and it's better. I would think you'd be fine with a hard top. You have to adjust the seat all the way down though.

Im 6'4, and drive a Hard top with some Room to spare, I actually have an inch or two above my head with my seat not touching the rear seat. Im sure with the seat all the way back you would have some room to spare, Lebron James Drives an all white SS with no modifications for the seat and fits and i belive hes 6,8 ?
The only thing i ran into an issue with is the L99 (Auto) and the LS3 (Standard) With my height the stick shift was not an option my leg would hit the wheel to get to the clutch and it just wasent comfortable at all, Its all Prefrence of what you feel comfotable with, But saying the "verts the only way to go" is a lie maybe there just trying to get the sold or somthing

6'4" here, with the sunroof and with the seat all the way back, both in length and practically touching the back seats, my hair hits the roof. Unless I am wearing a hat, I feel the roof all the time unless I lean in towards the inside of the car more.

I sat in a non-sunroof car and it wasn't an issue, hat or no hat.

It depends on where your height is. Are you long-torsoed or long-legged? CaptVlad is 6'1" and the sunroof option was out because you apparently lose 2" from the top of the Camaro with it. As it is, he's comfy in it.

Thanks for the input guys. I'd like to have the convertible, but money is an issue at the moment. The dealer was probably just trying to sell the car. I think the one I sat in before, hard top did have a sun roof. Wasn't too bad, have to check it out again though.

I'm 6' 5", wear a 34" - 36" pant leg and have a hard top with no sunroof. I have no issues with the seat all the way down and most (not all) of the way back. You should sit in the hard top with no issues.

The only one that can ride behind me is my 4 yr old and even then I have to move the seat up an inch or two (the max forward I can go and somewhat drive) and he has to put his feet to the side of the seat. I won't be much longer before he won't be able to fit either.

Add a sunroof or a helemt and it will be real close.

Go test drive one without a sunroof and make sure to put the seat all the way down and back.

Convertible would be nice but not required.

6'5" here. No issues. I actually scott the seat forward a little to have the correct driving position. Only time I have no headroom is in cars with sunroof, or the convertible top when it's up. My coupe has no issues with headroom or legroom. =)

I'm 5'11", but long torsoed....and with the sunroof I definately have to put the seat back and all the way down. I have to put it even further back when I have a helmet on for bracket racing.

I definately get the static electricity thing going with my hair because my hair rubs against the top of the car...

But, I still love to drive the car
