Yea, it just upset me that when I came to hood from alaska they didnt send me to the line. Brigade s3 said they had priority on all infantry e5s. So they took me from leading soldiers, which I was the best at, to sitting at Brigade. Was completely ass backwards.

A TS is good for 5 years. If it's not kept current (expired) it's a little harder but it can be reinstated. There will be records of your previous clearance so that works in your favor but with the gov't restrictions on clearances now, it may take 12 months to get it back IF there is a need. The NSA Poly definetly helps.

Thanks I was looking online... and Clearance stuff is hard to get a good answer, mostly because of the subject matter. It seems many people are saying it is better then never having it because they only need to look in to the time of Laps and not your entire life, which is nice. I was just wanting some basic info. I work a weak job now so I can focus on school but once I graduate it will be nice to know all my options.

If you had a TS/SCI you need to get online with ManTech, CSC or Northrup Grumen. Those companies in particular care more about your clearance than they do about what you know. They are the most likely ones to hire you and then train you.

Yeah I know I just wanted to get my degree out of the way because I started with that. I worked right next to a lot of NG and ManTech Personel at NSA and Korea. One of my first line supers actually works for ManTech now. So I know I have the clearance and the skills required because I was working for 20k right next to someone making 80k to do the same job as me for less time and without living in the barracks.
