So either there is something wrong with the can or the updates done to my engine (AFM lifter and driver's side rocker cover replacement) have done the job of preventing oil injestion. One other issue I was having was that I was getting a significant smell of hot oil after driving, and not necessarily under aggresive driving conditions. Not sure of the cause of that. I am not experiencing any oil leak issues. I was running a K&N air intake as well as the oil cap breather with the airbridge capped.
I was also smelling oil while I was sitting in traffic. I only have 500 miles on my car. I just installed the catch can but have not driven it yet. (waiting on my throttle body) When I removed the TB there was oil on the inside of the butterfly already. Intake is also wet.

Pictured in the glass jar is the 700 mile no-check-valve catch.

I got my throttle body back today so I was able to start and drive my car a little. (Damn rain) The good news is my catch can is quiet as a church mouse. I was starting to worry a little when reading this thread the other day. Hopefully they find what is going on with yours ssmike. Good luck. Looks good too.

^^^ that looks great. But what do you have the bracket bolted to? I don't think I've seen one installed like yours.

If I am right just look like he has it facing the wrong way ( well not wrong just different than most people with the mounting on the side closest to the passenger fender he chose to mount from the otherside

I think it's mounted to a different spot than designed. To me it appears to be too high and too close to the pulley both front and side.

Got mine installed today. He has his installed the same way I do mine which is what the instructions say to do. There are no clearance issues.

^^^ mine wouldn't fit as instructed. But I see the bracket now has slots to allow some front to back alignment. Mine was hitting the radiator shroud, barely. The angle of the picture of the red can made me think something was different. I see it now.

Hard to say but I think so. If yours is making the noise you can feel it in the hoses and can.

After reading this thread I did a vacuum check on my RX catch can and both of the fittings on top were leaking air where they connect to the can. I put a dab of silicone on them and that fixed the leak, but the check valve rattles like a shaking paint can at idle. Very annoying.

The checkvalves should make a light buzzing sound as this indicates they are working as far as controling the amount of flow. But all cans should now have the plain fitting included as well if you dont like the noise.

If the noise is not loud enough to bother then keep it in.
