Speedy,

First off the car looks beautiful man however, I did get a chance to drive an auto challenger and I wasn't really impressed. It was somewhat sluggish in my opinion. I'm sure the manual is a different story though.

So it looks like you paid 33k for it with all the deals. 0% is awesome but with GM discount I'm still only paying 34k for my 2SS. Also, I'm not sure what people think but as far as I know GM is doing GM employee pricing and supplier pricing on Camaros. My car is scheduled for March production and as far as my dealer knows I'm getting it at the employee discount price.

Yes, I'll pay more in financing but for 1k more, I'd go Camaro over the Challenger for sure. Not dogging you, just my opinion. Anyway, enjoy your car man, it does in fact seem like it was the right choice for you.

Congrats on the new car! Sorry to see ya leave the Camaro camp (in a sense, I know you'll still be around), but I'll admit that is a very nice-looking car. I've never driven one, but I'm sure it's a blast! I've seen a few driving around in my area, and they certainly have the muscle-car look. Beautiful!!

Speedy - you done good! Looks like a great deal, a looker and kick a$$ powertrain.
Obviously you're gonna get some crap from a Camaro forum, but I think in each of us there's a bit of jealousy cause you got your ride before us.
Enjoy and see ya on the road.

Alot of the dealers arent honoring supplier discounts and such. Too bad for GM but good for Chrysler that these dealers greed are costing them sales in the long run.

Enjoy the car, the R/T is the one Charger that makes some sense to me, at least with that much of a discount. The SRT8's are also nice of course, but would need much crazier discounts to consider vs the Camaro IMO.

Why didnt you get the SRT8? Nice car though, but i think its going to be a bit underpowered. Even the SRT8 feels slower than my GTO was when it was stock.

The SRT-8 is $42k base, even 6 off puts it at $36k. If you're spending the much you might as well just get a Camaro SS at MSRP and get a better car since you're not saving any money.

Whilst the Chally is a nice car I do believe if you say you jumped ship you were never on the ship for the Camaro. I am a HUGE dodge fan but I Love the Camaro and will hold out till the bitter end to get one!

That said, enjoy your ride, you wont be dissapointed in the performance of a Hemi RT!!

GOOD CHOICE of car!!

Congratulations on your purchase , sweet looking ride, and when it comes down to $$ & cents you have to do what's best for you. I've always been a supporter of The General, but if he doesn't wake up and smell the reality, he is going to lose more "loyal buyers" to the other Big 3. When he goes bankrupt he can cry the blues all the way to the unemployment line. This company has to get it through its THICK HEAD that just because you have resurrected a nameplate from the past, doesn't mean EVERYONE is going to pay top dollar, just to get one. I notice GM is looking 5ft down the road, instead of 5yrs down the road. Do what it takes to get the sales today, and the rest will fall into place on it's own, and you may once again become a profitable company .
Before everyone jumps down my throat, I can say that I have only owned GM vehicles in my, life, and it's time this company looks at the competition (Big 3 only) and becomes competitive. My dad defected away from GM 5yrs ago, to the import market, which shocked the heck out of me, as he was a true GM believer, but got tired of the poor service & product quality that was being put out. DON'T LOSE MORE LOYAL CUSTOMERS!
